There are so many crooks among the police. They are so busy to catch drivers who speed up over 8 mi. in Lynnwood area and treat them as criminals so they ignor their own moral obligations. May be it time to clean their own house! No more comments!

Ok..here is whats weird to me and maybe someone can help me. I used to live in Lynnwood and have always felt like the cops there were playing a different game then other cops in surrounding areas. So here my question. Whats with all the cameras on every street light and in between? Their traffic cams?
Maybe a some of em...Ive looked on the lynnwoods traffic cam web site..and there is like 20 to 25 cameras listed and thier location. Theres 25 cameras on 196th only! Dont believe me? Count them! go to Cheveron on 168th.Theres one pointing down at the side walk! There's cameras all over the place! Seriously! There is atleast 200!!! cameras not listed on their traffic cam page. What are these cameras doing and who are they watching???????Whos watching the cameras? Were not!

for those of you who dont know. Lynnwood was the FIRST city in the WORLD wth city wide web cams and traffic cams....... they did the pilot and tested the system back in 1997..... and 11 years later , I think it is a good system. There is a central control board that someone sits at and maintains the traffic throughout the day.... if a light is changing too fast, they have the ability to change it from the control desk, instead of sending a work crew out there. If the only concern is " who is watching us and why" then you need to figure out how to do your illegal activities away from camera view, or , stop driving like and idiot.....

I truly believe they installed the cams to watch all the dumb ASIAN drivers out there..... not racist, just a fact..... I am Filipino, and thank god I did not get the asian driving skills....

Well, I don't htink anyone here has posted a comment with any real knowledge of the city. I have it. Lynnwood has had its struggles with city government, no doubt. As far as for public safety there is no beeter place to live. The fire dept are of the best and so are teh police.
For the comments of the police being crooks that is just your ignorance showing. First of all every person makes their own decisions, and these choices are not necessarily supported by the administrators. If you payed attention to the stories of the officer stealing it clearly said the police department discovered the problem and called the FBI to invfestigate one of their own. Doesn't that show the police department will not tolerate crime even if committed by there own?
So get a clue, the police department takes crime serious if you don't like that don;t break the law, any law. Criminals so fear being in Lynnwood and all good citizen should support that approach.

I have first hand knowledge of this city as well as the surrounding cities. There is so much corruption in our local law enforcement it makes me ill. 30 years of knowledge here. Our law enforcment locally stinks. They lie, steal, beat their wives, do drugs and get away with it. When are the real voices going to be heard?

I believe you.
I was set up by my own husband, a local upper management law enforcement official. He had me falsely arrested. A plan carried out by him and his lil' boys in blue.
That's ok.
There has been a lot of water under the bridge since my false arrest that day and I'm afraid my corrupt husband's actions have returned to bite his arse quite harshly. Now and then the eyes of the innocent are given the gift of seeing the "crumbling" of the corrupt. I'm loving it.

Lynnwood PD is money making machine for the city with all of their traffic cameras and over-staffed police driving around brand new sports cars and HD motorcyles. Police in Lynnwood routinely violate people's civil rights because they know they can get away with it. They are awarded not for their good deeds, but their generation of revenue, masked as crime stopping ability.

Survivor - You're quite nuts and illiterate. Name names in one of the "lie, steal, beat their wives, do drugs and get away with it" events you purport to have knowledge of. Or just shut your piehole and return to your double-wide.

I have a single, overweight, multiple cat owning, man-hater next to me that calls the Lynnwood PD on us for noise even if that noise comes from construction a block away - she's that kind of crazy... Anyway, last weekend it happened again. Cop shows up and tells me that he doesn't hear anything but we have a neighbor complaint. 20 minutes later another knock on the door, this time time there were two cars? I opened the door holding my shotgun at my side and the the older, new 2nd cop nearly shits his pants. Lots of yelling and threats by the cops. Older cop who is still pale from fright waits until I'm turned away and tosses my license at my feet instead of handing it back. Everybody saw it and were stunned. More belligerence on my part with more empty threats by them. In the end I told them both off calling the a disgrace to the uniform. They left with more threats but there simply wasn't a crime being committed. CHALLENGE AUTHORITY AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY. I am a citizen, not a subject. You civil servants work for me. DO NOT EVER FORGET THAT.

This guy got 15 months for this. Stealing evidence, tampering evidence, destroying evidence. Illegal possession of drugs and firearms. etc etc etc. Meanwhile the police chief is promoting a new female to deputy chief that happens to live with him. So tax dollars are paying his pu**y bills. This Alderwood Mall PD is off the hook!!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Capricorn

Confusion reigns supreme today, especially when dealing with financial matters. You could get into a muddle when sorting out your accounts or when working out how much you owe someone, even though you may not notice this at the time. It certainly isn't the day for parting with large sums of money because the chances of something going wrong are very high.
