Yes, this is a very sad case... Its easy to say he dropped the baby. Obviously he feels no guilt and not sorry for this crime. A innocent baby is left blind and half paralyized. CRAZY!!! This didn;t happen from a fall on the head. Kids have been dropped on the heads for generations. Either from falling off of bed or some other odd incident, but when a child has this kind of damage and thats what you say you are guilty and just don't want to admit this... I hope this man is truely sorry for what he has done to this little girl...

Seemingly kind towards the baby and then ... this. Distracted people, with short tempers, and usually low IQ's are always a danger when a small child are involved. These little souls need to be protected, both by their parents and the courts. Judges PLEASE take note, and send a message to others...if you are found to have harmed or killed an innocent little child, you will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Wishful thinking? I'm afraid so!

God Bless you Zoie may you rest in the arms of an angel for eternity as your hell is over now. As for you 'the quilty party' who ended this innocent little baby girls life your hell begins now for eternity. The torment you displayed to that child you will get back tenfold not only in prison but the day you meet your maker remember God claims revenge is his. You better be afraid.

In regards to "disgusted" comment, Zoies mother is a very loving mother who has endured hell because of this man. They lived with this man, they trusted this man. No one ever imagined he would do something like this to tis wonderful little girl. Zoie is truely a miracle. She has gone through stuff that no child or mother should have to go through. I hope Bert will finally get locked up and rot in jail for what he did. This man is on house arrest, that is not justice. He belongs behind bars, he is a scumbag. Zoie suffered a spiral fracture of her leg. That was caused by Bert actually twisting her leg till it broke. Even him going to jail won't be enough justice for Zoie. He'll still be able to see and he'll still be able to walk something this little girl won't be able to do. We are all praying for the Armstrong family. And as for Bert I hope he rots in hell, people in prison don't take kindly to "men" who beat on innocent defenseless children.

How sad, this poor little child will never have a normal life. I agree going to jail will not even be enough justice, but I am sure he will not be welcome for beating a child from the other inmates!!!!!! Children and animals are innocent and it just upsets me to read about people abusing either of them!!!!!!!anyone one with compasion and a heart feels this way

This is a man who allegedly had a previous history of violence. Ex-girlfriend reported to whom it may have concerned around the time of the event that this man was violent towards her in the past. A spiral femur (thigh) fracture is defintely caused by a strong tiwst of the leg, a great indication od shild abuse. If she was dropped accidently, where is the skull fracture?
If he was alone with her......he was responsible for her safety. Who do you think hurt this little girl? Enough is enough with our children being hurt!! If he goes free, he should pay for the child's medical bills for the rest of her life and support the mother so she can stay home with the child to care for her.

Now having children of my own I just don't get it. Before when I heard these stories it never got to me like it does now. There are so many other ways you can go about your life. If the baby is making you so mental leave... Call the mother to come home... Bring the child to a family member. Not only did he completely screw up a little innocent thing for life, he screwed himself in the process. Why don't people stop and think? There are consequences to all of our actions. It didn't have to be this way. I hope the baby continues to do well, my heart goes out to her and the mother. I hope this moron wakes up every night in jail with nightmares of what he has done to this little one and himself.

He could do it and would do it! He has such a temper with everyone and everything. He knows what he did and has always been a the kid of person to lie about anything! I know of him very well and ABSOLUTELY know that he is capable of this! It is wrong and I can't beleive that he still denies it to this day! He can't even handle losing a video game never mind being left with an innocent child that he coulsn't control. He needs to be caged like the animal that he is!

This story is a true awakening to how delicate and precious life is. It's important that everyone "STOP & THINK" about the consequences of their actions. It sounds like he knew what he had done was wrong...by pleading guilty and the statement he made to the cop.

If anyone believes he dropped that little kid, they also would believe cows fly. If he dropped her it must have been from a second story window.
