I was a member of this cult for over 30 years. I finally woke up to realize what they were all about. They have basically set up their own kingdom on earth and have convinced their members (although unsaid) they way they treat the leader Charles and Mary Jo Glass is directly related to how God is treated. In other words the better they treat Charles and Mary Jo the better their reward will be in heaven some day. The membership has supplied them with multiple new Cadillacs every year, airplanes, boats,$895,000 home, trips to exotic places. They are allowed to gamble the churches money in places such as Las Vegas. If you don't do as they wish all hell breaks out in your life. People are required to shun you. Family members are turned against one another. Most all of the marriages are arranged my Mary Jo Glass and Beth Cernero who is the niece of the the leader. The members are taught they have the way to God and no other church is going to make it so it is the members job to try and recruit as many people in the city as possible to their fold and save their souls from hell.(keep in mind this is not told openly) It is an underlying teaching of the leader Charles Glass. This couple has declared they will be the leaders until the lord comes (keep in mind the leaders are now 76 years old). They have and will not prepare another leader to take over their throne because God has told Charles Glass that he will not die, but be taken up into heaven with the rapture. The members are led to believe that Charles and Mary Jo Glass are the direct voice of God. Every word that comes out his mouth is the word of the God almighty. They try to entice new members with their music program. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent to impress and draw crowds during Easter and Christmas with the hopes of taking in a judge, lawyer, business owners, or doctors for their money. Some are fooled and come into the fold, but usually leave after a few years when they realize they have been tricked into giving thousands of dollars to the "cause". Keep in mind most of the members are good honest people who want to live right and live for God. You will not meet a better, more sincere people. They are just blind to the evil leadership who right before their eyes is living a full life of sin and greed.
Hopefully someday they will see and get away from this evil leader and reunite with their families whom they have shunned.

It's not that a particular church is against Faith Church. It's Christianity against a false doctrine. All of God's churches are against false prophets and
false teachings. As a former member who was taught by this evil leader to make fun of every church in Sherman. Almost every church has a pet name for which they use to make fun and cut down. Faith Church is against every church in Sherman because they are taking money away from them. It's a sad sad situation. Someday this evil leader will no longer be around. Who will they follow? They will have to choose another God. I don't think some will be able to handle it when their leaders Charles and Mary Jo Glass are gone. Some will most likely commit suicide.

No the First Baptist in Sherman is not against Faith Church or any other church. First Baptist Church is concerned with worshiping our Lord and savior. If Faith Church is doing anything wrong God will deal with it in his own time. Please don't start rumors.

I am not from the area, not even from TX. I visited this church, even know people in this church. In searching for a church home, I thought it might be the place to start. I heard their music..........beautiful!! The Saturday nite before the new member classes, forgot the name of those classes... I had a dream of things that I will not disclose at this time. I took heed and have never went back. This being said, the Spirit of God will reveal all things. Satan was cast out of Heaven, he was the most beautiful angel, he was all about music! Looks can be decieving.......... what always looks good, taste good, or feels good is not always good!Beware of this seed that Faith Church is planting. I did not know the past of this church, or the present. I shared my dream with a close friend and information confirmed TRUTH. God speaks to his children..........My sheep know my voice. I pray for ALL to be set free! God bless ;-)

Has anyone thought about writing a book about their experience or getting together with others that shared the same experiences and collborate on a project?? I have heard about the Glass' and Ceneros for thirty years and as far as I know, no charges were ever filed and the church has refused to comment anytime this comes up. A published work with several eyewitness accounts could help draw attention to this issue and perhaps give the accusers more credibility with the public.

All I know is as a child i could remember my mom talking about this church, when it was on Harrison st. She said they were not good people and harmed any one who tried to leave the church. I was always scared to even drive by it. I was excited when there was a new church built on 1417. what a shame it had to be that one. I feel sorry for that rev. glass, when he and his wife has to face god. what a shame so many are being miss led. And the new church is scarry to.

I grew up with kids in that church. What I don't get is how the families split like they did, forsaking each other for the church. It didn't even seem as if they were forsaking their own family members for doctrine. . . it was the stronghold Glass and his wife had. It doesn't seem right that they should reap such worldly excess at the sacrifice of the church members. Powerful, wacked people. The new members didn't live the history and will never really know.

I was a part of this church as a child when it was on Harrison, and can verify that it is definately NOT a great place to worship. Everything that has been said, from beatings, to splitting families up, is true. I sat in a room and watched Mary Jo Glass slap my mom in the face, and then they forbid my dad to stay with her. Our family was split up, to never be together again. We were all brainwashed into thinking that if we left the church, then we would go to hell. I remember leaving in 5th grade, and believing that I would never go to heaven. I know now that is not true, and I am living today for Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I pray for all people attending any church associated with Charles and Mary Jo Glass.

This is so scary. I am pentcostal, people are talking that pentcostal religion is a scam, devil, related to the number 666,cult and etc. I am here to tell you, that all pentcostal churches are not like faith church. I would be afraid to drive by that church. I feel sorry for those people who attend that church, when Jesus comes for us, they have to stand before him. I cannot believe faith church has not been investigated. If you are reading this and other comments, and you attend faith church, you really need help, you cannot really believe Glass is talking to God and telling yal to give such a large amount of money. Yes pay your tithes, give to the building fund, sunday school money, but not such a large amount to where to the preacher gets such lavish items and go to las vegas, please, gambling is a sin. wake up people, Jesus is coming soon, this world is about to end. If you think you have to give to a large amount of money, give to families that are hungry, find a family in need and help them. Pay your tithes, like the bible says. But quit giving to glass.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Gemini

Mercury will backtrack through your finances over the next few weeks, which isn't a very seasonal thought if you're already well aware that you've overspent this month. Be prepared to do some juggling or to seek expert advice if you're worried about how you're going to cope. You may be kept busy handling inheritance, tax or insurance matters, preparing investment analysis, and allocating funds for the repayment or collection of debts.
