No reason to go to Midway Mall anymore. It will be closed probably within a couple of years. Everything is out on Hwy 75 now. When you start putting in dentist offices, Christian colleges, and cosmetology schools in a mall, you know you are in trouble.

The "Famous Labels" store is awful. Their men's section consists of about two racks. Dillard's is about all the mall has going for it. Sears is okay for tools and automotive. The rest of the mall is useless.

Hey, Victoria's Seceret is never useless!Theres a western store,The Buckle and American Eagle.Plus the Finish Line and Journeys ,all of these stores have saved me many a trip to Dallas area and lots of traffic fighting and gas.Dillards is great in Sherman. You only have to get one parking spot.Theres air conditioning in summer,no walking in the heat.No walking in wind and rain, thats what shopping dreams are made of!No cold weather shopping either. You get lots of exercise walking from one end to the other. You don't have to worry about getting run over in a parking lot, as often.I HATE THOSE SHOPS BY HWY 75!!!!If and when Midway closes I will have no use for Sherman shopping!!!!!

Buckle, American Eagle, Journey's, those are all geared towards a "younger crowd". For a mall to survive, it's got to have stores that attract a wide demographic, and attract the age groups that have more disposable income.

Stupid strip malls. Why walk out in the open elements or drive from store to store when you can walk inside the climate controled enviroment of a shopping mall. People are stupid.

It's all about the traffic and being in front of customers. Midway Mall was dark and dreary and apparently priced stores out of it. There's nothing there to make you want to go there.

Town Center is just doing to Midway Mall what Midway Mall did to Sher-Den Mall. A friend had a small store there and was priced out due to the outrageous cost for floor space. Simply amazing!!

This sums it up for me... what they did to Sher-Den is now being done to them. I also agree location is everything and who can doubt why the Town Center is doing as well as it is. Both sides of Hwy 75 gives it one of the best locations in the area. Looking forward to seeing they'll develope near the new TMC

Toys R Us, Staples, Circuit City....all were located by the highway and closed... it has nothing to do with location. I know the Manager of JC Penny and Lane Bryant and both say their sales are no better out there then they were at the mall. Everyone thinks newer is better. Well, I hate getting off the hway by wal mart and only go out there for Cheddars and the movies.

I haven't been to Sherman since 1970. Is Price's department store still in business?

The midway mall is in the process of being totally remodeled. VERY low monthly rent rates to start will bring in ALOT of new stores. Can't wait!

I hope the Midway Mall never shuts down. I like the Town Center stuff, but hate the unavoidable lights at 82 and 75. I never realized how dead the mall has become, i have been going to it since i was a kid. Now after seeing pics of it i can't believe how deserted it has become. I really hope it does get remodeled and more stores move in. I hate shopping but i love clothes, especially The Buckle, so it's great that i only have to drive 15 minutes rather than 40 minutes (without traffic)to frisco just to fight the crowds of Stonebriar....ugh. I really hope Midway's business starts to pick back up!!
