fake accusations help to fight from going to jail..

Hepl I was working for a supposedly sick elder man that needed help cleaning his house he left out of town and left me incharge I did not want this responsibility because he asked me not to lock the door and gave me no keys, husban was doing a tile job for him and he wrote him a check for 500.00 for the completion he has been gone 3 months and canceled the check and lied and said he didn't write it.. I told him someone was going in his house and I feel that they were getting in he let it go then I received a phone call to not to go to his house because he heard a lie from a gal that lives down the street that does sexual favors for him for money so I was fine better her then me I found out he made a police report mad cause he wanted me to conduct sexual acts and I said no and got mad and said that check was not written when he did write it because my husband did the job now I along with my husband heard the report was made against how can we protect ourselves frim going to jail. He is known around are small town to doing this to people sad thing to prwetray n think he is going to get the job done for free, any advice
