Why is it that people fall in love with an area, such as the Ruby Valley, because of it's friendly atmosphere, natural beauty and free open spaces... purchase property there, and immediately put up fences and keep out signs? They quickly turn it into the places from which they are trying to escape! I live in rural California, and have seen this happen again and again. My father, brother and I have enjoyed annual fishing trips to Montana for over 3 decades and have seen the many attempts, often by wealthy, new landowners, to restrict the use of land, effectively squezzing out the locals. We fought this kind of attitude before, in the late nineties, and won with the Montana stream access law. Call your government representitives, write letters, donate to public/wildlife rights organizations. We must not allow a few, selfish, "part-time" residents change the rules and laws that permanently affect our lives... full-time!

What is happening here is that people are moving here for the quality of life we have BUT are forcing down their way of life & rules down our throats ! My family settled in the gallatin valley which means nothing now a days and I can't even afford to buy land around here !

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Leo

A loved one is being rather tetchy today. It won't take much to get on their nerves, even if you think they're being grossly unfair about it. Try not to make the situation worse by being sarcastic or provocative. Instead, encourage them to tell you what's wrong but without raising their voice. Once you know what you've done to irritate them you can start to put it right.
