Ancient Wolf wrote: <quoted text>Yes, I am quite familiar with that and I totally agree with you. "Divide and Conquer" has been a long time strategy of the power hungry since the days of and even before Julius Ceasar.
From a Historically religous concept, I also just read:
At a Convention held in Motgomery Alabama, the "Methodist Church South" stated: "Be it resolved that we believe that African Slavery, as it exists in the Southern States of the Republic" to be a wise, humane, and righteous institution, approved of GOD; and calculated to promote, in the highest possible degree, the welfare of the slave".
If a christian GOD approved slavery, I think it best to find PEACE with the CREATOR and not in some part of a group think, but in a more pastoral setting. In studying the Civil War, it seems to me that the extreme desire for power lies primarily with the politicians and the pulpits. That seems to be no different than today. The struggle for power creates a balance in itself. An internal control if you will. It is the times in history when the pulpit and the politics were controlled by a singular group or person that oppression runs rampant.

People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos, is because things are being loved, and people are being used.

passes out the Tweety Bird jammies and the Teddy Bears to all the children and says brush your teeth and say "nitey nite" to the other kids. You all settle down in there and get some rest and tomorrow if you are all good, Uncle Wolf might even take you to Baskin-Robbins. (But Uncle Wolf is pretty sure one of them will mess up and all they will get is some cold spinach, some hominy, and some prunes..Now where did he put the can opener?)
