you pathetic piece of trash. Do you have a clue what you have done to the name of the American Indian? You are a disgrace to the true Abenaki tribe and NA's of all tribes. You need to step down and let someone with some morals and compassion for their fellow man take charge. With this move you have insured that recognition will never be given to the true Abenaki's. Do you have any idea what your punishment would have been for this crime 100 years ago? The majority of those you endorse into your tribe have no Abenaki blood to begin with.

Even if Mrs. Merrill were to step down from her position it would not matter. The "Missisquoi" "Abenaki" "community" as they call themselves are still fraudulent, fake Abenakis. Professor Wiseman seemingly blacked out the RPPC removing the name "Nicolas" on the postcard Chief Nicolas of the Wabanacus, Highgate Springs, VT in his attempt to claim that such document/artifact was really what it said. What he didn't tell truthfully was this RPPC was of Odanak, Quebec, Abenaki Nicolas Panadis who frequently went to Highgate, Franklin County, VT with other members of the VT-to-Odanak Abenakis. The REAL Abenakis were coming to and from VT as their ancestors had done, retaining their relationship to family, to the land, and maintaining their political authority IN and around Vermont! Whether it's 1 Abenaki man, 1 Abenaki family or such. The Real Abenakis were and are here in VT, being ignored and written out of history by the likes of Professor Wiseman and Co. It is a disgraceful disgusting action they have been doing in both deed and word! Also the "Four Indians" in Alburgh, VT were likely Mohawk, not Abenakis. They were certainly NOT Burk, Vosburgh, Olena or Partlow as Professor Wiseman and the Partlow descendants SAY. Go to nedoba.blogspot.com and check out the factual records from Alburgh, VT! Yet, Mr. Frederick M. Wiseman Ph.D. used the Stratton Book of 1986 to attempt his manipulation of the historical record regarding the "Four Indians" into alleging that they were Burk, Vosburgh, Olena, and especially Partlow (which they weren't).
Yes, someone needs to be held accountable for this "Abenaki" mess. April Merrill, Carollee Reynolds, and Prof. Wiseman seem to have been liening and manipulating for a lonnnng time. What is even more pathetic and shameful is the Legislature of VT and or NH did not do their jobs in determing the historical social and genealogical truths about these fake Abenakis vs. the Genuine Abenakis living in VT!

Well if they (the other Partlow descendant's and this Professor Wiseman of Johnson State College) used merely the Allen Stratton 1986 book which is obvioius error to the original record to validate by falsehoods, that the Partlow's were or are "Abenakis" (Native American descendants), then the answer based on that is a definite no, the Partlow's nor the Vosburgh's were NOT identified as Indians nor as Abenakis per the original record 593 and 594 in the Alburgh Town Records. If there is other "evidence" that is clear and convincing then so be it, but I have yet to see any evidence forthcoming or openly transparent so far, that would validate the claims made by some Partlow/Vosburgh descendants online or in person. So this hopefully will convince you to do some further digging around the woodpile for that elusive Indian ancestry, if it is even there to find in the first place. Good luck with the endeavor and a word of Advice. Never Ever just take someone's word as truth. There are always those that want to be Indian, at all cost...physically, mentally, and spiritually.
