Church Upset About Trash Dumping Problem

That is said dumpers property,so how can you post a no dumping sign?

It's a conspiracy against the Second Baptist Church. The folks in the First Baptist Church have it in for them.

I bet the mayor is in on it.

I think all the good members of the church should roll up their sleeves and help clean up. Some people, no matter how nicely you ask them, get spiteful and do it all the more. I do believe I smell a conspiracy too.

my grandfather bradford six gave second baptist churh two lots about 20 yrs ago,for church parking and special church events!!! when my grandfather passed away he left a house on 410 pittsburgh ave and lots 4 & 5 to my brother bradley six!!! which my mother and step father are buying from him!!! and mr. alvin preston should appreciate what our family has done for the church but he continues to harrass them and its been happening for the past 6 months!!!!ITS ENOUGH!!!mr. preston has been trying to get my parents to move, because he dosent want them here!!! there r alot of ppl who dump garbage there and so far he is the only one complaining about it!!! the city picks up the garbage out there once a week so what is the big deal!!! i mean thats why they get paid right!!! the only thing he is doing is tryin to get someone in trouble.cause he has nothing else better to do!!! and he is making his self look selfish!!! my mother has lived in this house her whole life and never had in problems until now!!! he should have never went as far as to put something like this on national television just to make mr. preston happy !!!!!!!!!! I WENT AND CLEANED UP THE GARBAGE!!! I PUT IT ALL IN GARBAGE BAGS AND BOXES AND EVEN SWEPT THE ROAD!!!so im sorry he feels the way he does but why couldnt he have done something for the community,,,like cleaning it up if he was so discusted about it!!!i didnt make the mess neither but i cleaned it up!!! i think we need a new mayor!!! OK HE WOULDNT HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IF MY PAW WOULD NOT HAVE GAVE THE PROPERTY TO THE CHURCH!!! he does not own it so why is he worried about it, its like really far from the churh door!!! and if he has not been going through the garbage then how does he smell it,cause its no where around his house and its only toys and clothes!!!! when i cleaned it thats all i seen ,no food no trash JUST TOYS AND CLOTHES!!!and how can u put a no dumping sign on someone elses property!!!

to whom it may concern.im writing to let u know that we have not been the only one who has dumpped rubbish out there... and alvin said its right in our church door and its not its like a half a block away from our church...and the one thing i want to know is how they can put a no dumping sign on my property... and another thing my mom and dad have gave two lots to the church for parking and church events...alvin calls the police on us atleast 4 times a month for looking out my door the wrong way...alvin does not appreciate what mom and dad have done for the churh or him they have knew alvin his whole life....we dont bother anyone around here we stay to ourself ,,and we have no complaints from anyone except him... if my mom and dad were still here he would not be doing this...to the ppl of my community im sorry for any problems anyone has caused...

Go get them Tiffany. I can see them being upset if there was food and nasty trash that could cause disease and ratsbut I don't think toys and clothing can do that much harm unless rodents and snakes are breeding in them. Like I said,they should roll up their sleeves and clean up. Apparently, is doesn't bother them to go onto to someone else's property to put signs up.

So instead of "dumpster diving" and retrieving/cleaning/fixing what could go to a real charity, the church is concerned it's cutting into profits.

i went to the courthouse and checked records there, lots 4, 5, 6, 7, all belong to a bradley six who lives in mississippi, the church owns no property on that side of the road. why are they even worried about it, and as far as alvin preston goes, he is a nosey busy body who has to be in everyones business, since he has no life of his own.

If the things put out on the side of road stinks so bad then why would you donate it?

I don't think WHNT is seen nationaly.

I think Alvin Preston should mind his own business.The properity does not belong to him or the church.The properity will soon belong to Joe and Evelyn Pruitt.And the trash is not in front of the church.All Alvin Preston is ever done is butt in some one elses business.They should get him for harrassment.and put a law suit on him that he will never get out from under.

stay out of there business is what i would say to alvin... and if u dont like it stay off there property...i think he may be a little un happy with his life thats why he is in everyone elses...

i dont think the news station had to be called just like everyone else said why didnt he do something for his community other than causing drama and harrassing ppl,,, i think he might need some counceling the only time u ever see him outside is when he calls the police on someone and he really keeps the police station busy
