A research team at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University are looking for non-smoking women aged between 30 and 50 who are overweight (Body Mass Index between 30 and 35) to take part in a research study.

The study is looking at the impact that taking fish oil and plant sterol supplements over a twelve week period has on measures of cardiovascular disease risk such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels. If you would like to take part you must be generally healthy, and not taking fish oil supplements or using cholesterol-lowering foods or medication (e.g. cholesterol-lowering spreads or yogurt drinks, or drugs such as statins).

If you are interested in taking part in this study and would like more information, please contact the research team on cardiowise@sheffield.ac.uk or telephone 07500 786288.
