Why did the school district, not the mention the people of Shawnee, ever let it get to this point? It's no wonder people think of Oklahoma as such a hick state!

We had the same situation when I went to school there and that was 7 years ago.

Well my daughter goes here, and they already passed a bond, and used it up. They go and build a new gym but can't fix the roof. Sounds like they have their priorities mixed up. They are not getting my vote. they can have class in the new gym.

Where does all the school funds go to? You cannot tell me that the school is broke and has no money to pay for a new roof, but instead it can endanger the lives of the kids in the halls and the classrooms?

Glad we got that lottery that has done nothing that it was intended for.

Another "eye sore" for Oklahoma. Where are the parents? No children should subjected to these health hazard conditions. If these were animals being treated like this, the responsible parties would be arrested. And Oklahomans say they love their children and always ask citizens to vote to pass Bonds for the CHILDREN.

didnt they just spend 800,000 dollars on like 60 acres just north of town? Sure seems like alot of money to be spent on land......sure would have helped with the roof repair

Maybe if the committee who does the fund raising would acutally spend the money on school need instead of using if for vacations and other crap then the kids would have a good roof. think about that one.

Bond money MUST be spent on intended purpose. So if a bond was past for a new gym, it MUST be spent on a new gym. It is illegal to do anything else.

BTW, I am sure the "Got 0 Plan" & the teabagers are saying, "I work hard for my money, and others need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. The parents need to put their kids in private schools and quit taking my money!"
