Dear Sirs,
Advanced Metal Roofing installed my new roof in February 2005. I was very pleased with their thorough presentation. I also was very pleased with the professional and efficient installation. The installers were learned in their skill, and very neat. The entire roof was installed in 4 days. I have constant compliments on the roof from neighbors and friends. I just went through hurricane Ophelia in the home and felt the roof was very strong. I felt very safe even though the winds were 80 mph
Thank you,

Dear Sirs,
I had one of your metal roofs put on my house in March of this year. I was very pleased with the crew that did the work. They were all nice as they could be and really did a good job on the installation. I would recommend your metal roof to any one who asks me about mine.
Sincerely,
Shelby Davenport Kinston, NC

Customer Testimonial
27 April 2008
My roofing project took place in March 2008. I chose the Diamond White color because it matched well with my house trim. My primary objective was to deflect solar radiated heat away from my roof. In contrast, dark colored asphalt shingles actually absorb much heat. As summer fast approaches, it is obvious to me that the attic vent fan has not come on once yet. What is not obvious to me is when it rains. I just do not hear the sounds of rain coming down on my house like before. That is truly amazing to me.
Mark was the “on-site” supervisor during the assembly stage of the project. I say “assembly” because all the cutting and shaping of the metal panels were done off-site prior to delivery. The materials were “custom-fit” to my house’s unique roofline. A week before assembly, George had come by to take measurements and sketches of my roof. My roof panels were assembled a few days after the projected assembly date. Local wind-storms during the original date made assembly unsafe at that time. Mark and his crew came out the very day the winds calmed; on a Sunday at my request! My roofline is a simple two-tier gable and the crew finished in just one-half day. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away at project’s end. Discarded pieces were gathered and picked up throughout the assembly process.
The outcome is that I am a satisfied customer. Passer-bys in the neighborhood have remarked to me repeatedly how beautiful the roof looks now. It is unique in an asphalt-shingle community. The neighborhood seems to have dubbed me an innovator with a flair for style. I just wanted to keep the heat and the rain off my house. I do not regard myself as an innovator though. I have observed that every commercial and public building constructed these days have a metal roof on it. There are reasons for that which I now benefit from.
Although I consider my roofing project a success, experience has taught me things that a new customer may want to consider. PRIOR PLANNING IS KEY! Assess your house sometime before the sales presentation. If there is anything out of the ordinary not obvious to the casual eye, make note of it. Insist that your concerns are addressed to George. My house has a special brand of siding that is rigid; unlike most vinyl siding that is flexible. Pointing out and asking questions about those significant details early on would have helped in the planning stages. I ran Tim, the regional construction supervisor for my area through hoops. I did not recognize and stress the importance of my facade. My hat goes off to Tim for being there when I had issues to address. He answered the phone and returned my calls. That is appreciated as good ole’ fashion customer service. That went a long ways with me. Communication is everything! His follow-up inspections insured my satisfaction.
In my eyes, Matt (Advanced Metal Roofing President) and Tim bear the mark of professionalism in the world of contracting. They set an example to emulate and a tone to follow in this company. That is why they are in leadership positions and that is why I write this testimonial. If a person would like to ask questions of a customer who has “been there and done that”, do not hesitate to write me at john.backensto@hotmail.com I would have no problem coordinating a home showing at a time convenient to us both.
Sincerely, John H. Backensto SFC, U.S. Army (ret) Hope Mills, NC

I agree. This is one of the most respectable roofing companies in the state and even the country. Its funny how all complaints on blogs are "un-named" but all the good things and even some negative (realistic) feedback are actual people you can contact. Furthermore I have been in the contracting business for 16 yrs and have never seen such a thorough, professional installation process as well as a 100% better product than the rest. As far as the owners past--we all have a past I wonder how others would look at all of us if they new are past?? Great Job Advanced Metal-Keep it up!!

Why dont you submit your name so we could check your history--We all have one and with Google its easy to see. I believe that God and even the law gives us all a break and a second chance. Besides there is always 2 sides to a story and somewhere in the middle is the truth. You should be ashamed by your business practices-its one thing to under cut a job but posting false, un-named blogs is a new low. Just a little advice-if you offer a great product and professional install and fair prices you can be successful!
Please dont get me wrong I am not telling you how to run your business but posting blogs? Come on get with it-Just drive around and look at the work these guys do-talk to the customers-blog away but people can find the truth out by researching the facts.

I actually Had the same problem but a different end result. I called when I noticed the leak and Advanced Metal sent a crew out right away. They even had a reputable contractor come and repair my small water spot on the drywall.
I was so impressed on how this company has handled the situation-but the the unthinkable happened! The owner called to make sure I was satisfied and apologized for the error (they even had the roof inspected upon completion of the original install and the repair!!!!)
I would definitely recommend this company-If anyone would like to contact me to see the great job they did please do so. Best yet-I am receiving a huge deduction on my utilities (more than 45%)
Thanks for the great job Advanced Metal Roofing!

If you know anything about business one thing is clear-these guys are growing and taking over. I guess all you "unknown" replies must be worried your company is going to shut down because you cant keep up with the professionals? And yes I do work for the company, I do own our roof, I have been with them just under 2 years and absolutely love it! I actually used to get mad at people when they did not purchase from me-because I knew they would get ripped off by YOU!!! We sell roofs not Prices-Again grow up and worry about your own business-not ours. Lastly I am sick of getting calls to come repair somebody's roof because the people they bought it from went out of business (you should worry about that). We are OK with the competition but stop making us all look bad with your shady (to say the least) and substandard roofing panel. To all you concerned consumers out there who were tainted with these lies-well, check out our BBB report, our history, our write ups and awards-then decide. Our shirts and samples are worth more than our competitors company-let alone their panel (by the way their panel looks great on my dog house and you can really see the difference between it and my home). I am sick and tired of seeing these lies-yes the owner has a past-WE ALL DO-the guy is a awesome individual and has been nothing but fair to me-as far as the idiots who cant compete with us legit-stop messing with my lively-hood-and my co-workers as well. We are hard working, respectful, intelligent people and have more integrity than you will ever have! How about this, spend some money and hire quality people, advertise save that money (for a rainy day or repair) and service your customers-then maybe you would not have so much time to be on the computer hurting good honest people. As far as legit complaints-as always feel free to call our toll free # and hit 1-ask for warranty and we will be right there to help. Folks this Company claims to have exclusive rights to a patented roofing system that only they can sell in North Carolina. This is stated to be Metal Man Roofing. Well, the actual owner of this 'Franchise' is the same individual that owns Advanced Metal Roofing. There is no franchise. There is only Advanced Metal Roofing. So what does that mean? Here this company has set up a false franchise that makes it appear that they have exclusive rights. THERE IS NO FRANCHISE. THERE ARE NO EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS. THE ATTORNEY GENERAL HIMSELF HAS BEEN BAMBOOZLED AS THE FRANCHISE OWNER AND THE BUSINESS OWNERS ARE FILED WITH THE STATE OF NC!!!! There is no patent and not even on the paint coating (which is Kynar) because it's a Dupont Product and Dupont does not patent because patents end and are then learned! Further, Kynar paint is soft baked. It scratches easily. Therefore it is as susceptable as other paint coatings are to rust. Kynar paint has a 40 year warranty. If you don't believe this go ask. Search this website (ripoff) for Pro tite in New Hampshire. The owner of Advanced Metal Roofing was run completely out of the state by the Attorney General and they were barred from doing business there! You are lied to about the product. You are lied to about this ridiculous JOINT VENTURE which is in reality 5000 over cost plus profit. They split 50/50 with whatever amount a salesman thinks he can get. Then they don't pay him! Then they 'dangle' a lifetime warranty whereas Kynar paint is only warranted for 40 years. They figure no one will call them in 50 plus years because THEY WILL NOT BE HERE EITHER!! I intend to put all of their 'mess' right on this website. The reason for doing it will also be posted. Since its the truth there is nothing that they can do about it. It is time someone did something. It is deceptive trade practices that are key here. Contact the North Carolina Attorney General with your problems. That is the answer. This is just one of several posts that will be forthcoming in the next several days. Ex employee who knows all

You are an idiot if you use this company. Here's the scoop for all you cheerleaders for Advanced. It will probabbly make you sick that I have just posted this but its about time you end this crap of trying to justify AMR as a good company. Allied marketing group is one company designed to keep James Kenton protected from any legal issues with the sales side. The sales force knows nothing about roofing, just closing. They only know what amr teaches them to say. Jim spends thousands of dollars on training these people. They come in with a script a box of crap and a manager waiting in his office for the co op approval call. Its all a scam set up to already be prepared for you when you don't buy. Its the last bullet to drop the price on the spot and being able to justify it. The sales guy will start you off at over 20 bucks a linear foot while the par price is around 17-19 a foot. Every dollar over the par is commission. That commission alone is split with the owner. Now you have the 18 thats left, well for you idiots out there, you can put that same panel even thicker guage for around 3 bucks a linear foot and still make profit. So that means Amr made half of the commission on the allied marketing side and then 14-15 bucks a linear foot on the installation side. They make more as the middle man than the installer and sales person combined. They realy on the financing to lock you in to signing the paper. Once you sign the contract or put ink on as the owner likes to say, you are screwed. He will threaten to sue if you back out for any reason even something like "your financing through us just came back at 20% rate" " I can't afford that now higher payment" "to bad you signed the contract, back out and we will sue for materials (which they never even ordered yet). It is true that the owner was in jail for the same thing in another state. He got caught and that state gave him the boot. AMR is not moving to expand, its because he has been outed and destroyed the metal roof market with his shady shit. Why do you think they rarely run ads in his own town. Its because they are not dumb rednecks that fall for their crap. Also they don't do commercial jobs because any contractor would laugh their ass off when they heard the pricing. You chearleaders either work for them or are just stupid! We were scamming you guys and the truth is your $30,000.00 roof that you financed for 10 years at 20% apr could have been done by the same installer that you had without the middle men for around 8-9000. Its no secret that AMR is going down. They keep changing there corporate filings and structure but can't escape the shit trail. Ps metal man is their product with absolutly no difference from the other guys. Its not exclusive, we can all use it from anywhere we just can't call it metal man. Do your own dd. Take it from tony, its not your fault, unless you still buy after reading this! Ha Ha

OK....so you work for the company!! I get that You actually may be one of the few honest workers left at AMR> Wish I could bring you an endorsement. Unfortunately, I am struggling with some shoddy workmanship which continues to facilitate a nasty leak around chimmney flashing and attached sunroom. The crew (mostly hispanics) barely spoke english. Their skill in promoting the company 'name' and brand is not evident in their sloppy workmanship. Boken hardy board planks, improper sealants being used, missing flashing, flashing not installed to specs, and no to little IM involvement. You might ask....why have I chosen not to reveal my name.. Well, thats simple. Retribution. As I slowly begin to build my case with the Attorney's General and work with the Better Business Bureaus of several communities and states I don't want to impede any process from getting my issue resolved. People beware....This company has to have their feet held to the fire througout the entire process. From the original appointment, through to the transfer of 'ink on paper' right down to the quality control when they complete the installation. Advanced Metal Roofing is completely dedicated to providing customer satisfaction. Like any other business that boasts thousands of customers, a few will inevitably find fault with what they deem “satisfactory,” with regards to their service, regardless if the company lives up to the letter of the warranty issued to the customer. AMR and their employees are constantly working to improve the level of customer service and, despite some unfortunate turnover in the installation department over the past year, has managed to satisfy more than 99% of their customers fully. Don’t think for a moment that those outstanding one percent have been forgotten as their issues are being dealt with at this very moment.
Of course, competitors will wish to badmouth any company that offers a superior product and service. The fact of the matter is that many of AMR’s competitors are former employees that felt they could “do it better” and, frequently, chose to start their own metal roofing companies despite existing non-compete agreements. As in the wild, scavengers love to pounce when they smell blood from larger, more powerful creatures and so do these bottom feeders.
For homeowners that do own the MetalMan roofing system and are experiencing issues with it, please contact 877-858-7663 or email info@advancedmetalroofing.com and your problems will be addressed immediately. For those scavengers out there looking to steal scraps from the lion, why not simply try to focus on your own business instead of badmouthing someone else’s?

Professional, reliable and courteous! These words describe my experience with Advanced Metal Roofing. It’s been a complete pleasure to do business with Mr. David Medlin and his company. David has been a great representative since the day I met him two years ago!
The selling point for me was the lifetime warranty and I’m happy to say that they have quickly honored their promise to repair a leak that occurred a year after installation. My kudos to Mark who very carefully guided his team in the installation of the metal roof over an old roof that had a long history of problems.
I would highly recommend Advanced Metal Roofing to anyone in need of a high quality roofing product that comes with a lifetime warranty.
Sincerely,
Denise Townsend A very happy customer

Well said Zach. Its amazing how everyone on topix is anonymous and jealous of what a great company we have created. This company focuses on customer satisfaction from the begining to the end. How else would you explain our growth and sucess? Amr has been reconized locally and nationly for our ability to install superior metal roofing with a pending paten design. We are looking forward to many, many more years of servicing our customers; new and old. Jim Kenton CEO

DONT BUY A ROOF FROM THIS COMPANY! Don't even call the number. If this company gets your number, they will hound you to death until they can get one of their "marketing representatives" to come give you an "estimate." If they wont stop calling, use these words; "Place me on the Do Not Call List." Let me ruminate on Advanced Metal Roofing for a moment, if you please.
When I worked there as the call center manager, I observed the craziest stuff going on at AMR. It was basically a place where the company execs used the business like their personal playground. Among other various sleazy things I observed, I always used to overhear the construction boss and the sales boss (father & son, total perverts, trust me) talk crap about the customers and how funny it was all the money they were making.
Advanced Metal ran like this when I was there. They got you a loan from a third party lender, a terrible loan that raped you for years. Then you gave that money to Advanced Metal. They get all their money, you owe a shady bank money forever. I once saw a deal there that basically ended up with a guy paying nearly 70,000 dollars for a roof over the years. The salesmen were laughing about it!
I took that job because I got laid off from my factory job while my wife was 8 months pregnant. I was desperate. So all the people who called into the call center distraught because their roof was coming apart, I'm sorry. The people who could help you were ducking and dodging, refusing to speak with you, and having us in the call center take phony messages. I'm really sorry you guys got scammed by these people. I felt so bad working there, but I had to pay the bills. I quit as soon as I was able.
Really folks, this company is SUPER sketchy. Zach Hanner, the marketing director, is actually a nice guy, despite his posts here in AMR's defense. He's just doing his job. But I bet it bothers him. Whatever you do, hire a contractor from you community, or somewhere near your community. If you choose AMR, you WILL overpay by at least 3x, and as much as 5x. Take it from me, the poor sap who had to work for this shady business.
