If someone forced their way in my house and i had a gun i would of shot him too.
I am sure the news isn't telling it all because it takes a while before everything to get out once we find out i think i would of still shot him.

Last night Channel 2 had an "exclusive" with the security guard's uncle. The uncle made it clear that the nephew went to that door "for some reason." "Something made him knock on that door." Wow! Thanks for the insight! This guy should be a detective! We would have never guess that on our own! I'm so glad Channel 2 is tracking down people with critical information we couldn't possibly have known without their interview!

I would like to know, what comments people would be posting if they were getting ready to lay someone they loved to rest, because of this incident. Since Mr Mallett is not hear tell us his side of the story, are we to believe the officer is completey true in what happen? Where is the threat to his life when someone has their back to him walking away. Is this the way of the South. Remember this people "only the dead victims know the truth behind their deaths. This could be one of your relatives next, because of a police offier who can't control his temper.

WHY DID THE WIFE ANSWER THE DOOR AT 4am, HER HUSBAND IS A POLICE OFFICER, A BIG GUY ACCORDING TO THE PICTURE, SO WHY WOULD HIS WIFE ANSWER THE DOOR? SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. WHY DID THE OFFICER GO BACK INTO THE HOUSE, GET HIS GUN, AND SHOOT THE UNARMED VICTIM,WHO ACCORDING TO THE PAPER WAS LEAVING THE SCENE.

I think the guard was claiming his woman, or made the mistake of claiming her to the cops face.
Something is not right here!

Husband was beating the wife and the local security guard responded to the call by other residents.

THATS MY UNCLE !!!
and he doesnt deserve this.
my family has been through hell, with all this going on. Honestly if someone was to come into your house, you would do the exact same thing if you were him, he's not meant to be in there. He's a police officer, he's trained for those kind of things.
But if you disagree with me, then something is most definetley wrong with you.

The ajc paper said he was not on duty nor was there a call to the apt for help, there is no record of anyone call him. So the police wasn't beating his wife the security guard went there on his own intent and the question still remains WHY??

Two statements you make in your Post bother me. 1st. Is this the way of the south. I take it you are a damn Yankee.
2nd. How do you know that what the officer did was not controlled.
See you also were not there and do not have any viable information to add to the investigation. That being said, you now want to show your prejudice by by your statements. It is my OPINION that you are possibly a "perp" and are trying to gain a sypathetic ear to your cause. I do not believe you will find that thear in the south. So if that disturbs you, you are more than welcome to move back north where you love it so much that you decided to move to the SOUTH.

That may be the way of the South, but you don't run back in the house after the person have left the area to get a gun and shoot them in the back of the head seven times. That is a coward's way.We are held accountable for what we do and have to answer to the man above. He didn't have a weapon. This for the person who have a problem with Yankees. This is America and it doesn't matter where you live North or South. Ask the troops in Iraq what side they are fighting on North or South. This isn't the civil war period. Get a grip on your prejudice attitude. A lot of people who live in the North have parents that come from the South. This doesn't give anyone a right to shoot someone from behind seven times in the head. I would not wish this on anyone. It is not a North or South thing so please stop the childish talk. You are accountable for what you say if you believe in God.

According to the news. The security officer had been knocking on other residents doors 2 hours prior to getting to the officers apartment. Sounds like he(guard) was looking for trouble.
