Salvador Gandarilla Junior
Police in Delano still searching for the person or persons responsible for the death of a 19-year old who was shot and killed in the street. It happened early Saturday morning.
Delano police say 19-year old Salvador Gandarilla Junior was one of three people shot outside a house in the 16-hundred block of Jefferson street. It happened early Saturday morning just after midnight. Witnesses who would not go on camera say a car drove by shooting at those in front of the corner house. Two others were hit, one in the arm but both survived. Gandarilla died at the scene.
Witnesses say dozens of shots were fired from a large caliber rifle, as seen by holes left in the garbage cans in front of the house.Neighbors say Gandarilla did not live on this block and he might have been visiting a girlfriend down the street.
Delano police have not released any suspect information at this time

Two People Arrested In Delano Gang-Related Shooting
Man Killed In July Drive-By Shooting Two people have been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting in which a man was shot dead in Delano last month. According to Delano police, officers served three search warrants on Friday, arresting 21-year-old old Juan Prado and a juvenile male. Officers said they seized numerous weapons, drugs for sale and drug paraphernalia in the home.
