why hasn;t any thing ever become of the white oak man that was charged with incest and sexual assualt. where is the Justice , why was this man Not put in jail, why did the public not read anything else about it , Was in the paper when he was charged , does he have clot with the system ? something funny going on here , the public needs to know what happened , concerned live in the area.

Could be they are awaiting Grand Jury? Maybe they went ahead and arrested him, and he's on bail?

yes, i know who exactly who you are talking about. his name is rick putyon from white oak. i know you are not supposed to list names on here, but you just never know when someone like this may move in next door to you. and noone in the prosecuters office seems to want to say anything about this. thats why it is happening more and more because they " the prosecution" just smack them on the hand and release them back into our communities.i know a man that had a drug addiction and verbally said something and went to prison for 20 months. he told me that from his experience in the system that these "sex-offenders" get less time than any other crime they commit. i don`t care, right is right and wrong is wrong. i guess noone wants to do anything about people like this man until it hits home.. where is the justice in raleigh county...

They are chasing the kids smoking pot, and playing loud music... Oh and pulling over young women that are alone and giving them "ways" out of the tickets... Then from time to time you see them at the IHOP... THis is what they do in Raleigh Co. to keep up safe!

well scooby, thanks for the information on this. it looks like justice might finally get served on someone in raleigh county for a change. it is a real shame that the system even allows men like this to walk the streets let alone rent property. RENTAL PROPERTY???? well now lets see if it is true about " if you have money," you can get out of trouble in this county. and i have heard that his family moved here from woodbridge va. so apparently they have money. i think that this man should get the maximum penalty. someone please help to keep everyone up to date on this.

The reason that you don't see the incest and other sex crimes being taken seriously is because if they did it would make the state look bad.

How so? What if every other day some weird sex crime was being made public? What if they prosecuted all the offenders? Wouldn't that show up in the statistics? Wouldn't that skew things to make it appear to outsiders that there is a serious problem with incest in WV?

I know it would because there IS a serious incest problem in WV. And I really don't think you folk want the whole world to know just how serious it is. More than 70% of the women I dated in WV (and I dated more than most men) had a story to tell of an uncle or some other relative taking liberties with them.

You just don't find that outside of WV. You really don't. It's actually rare outside of WV. Very rare.

So they don't prosecute. Or if they do they give them a light sentence so they don't clog the prisons up and make a notice.

The only way to change things is though public education. And you want to see a media circus, just see what happens if the state of WV has to go and tell their citizens to quit buggering their kids. The whole world would be laughing at you.

incest molestation is a problem EVERYWHERE. Why? cause there is no real punishment for it. These child molesters give a life sentence to their victems of shame, nightmares, low self esteem,(need i go on.) and our justice systems gives them probation. This will never change until our justice system relizes that just because a child has told what happend does not mean they can get back to normal life and that it was more than just a touch here or there and that the sicko needs to be punished. Its bad when someone can kick a dog (not saying that is ok just using an example) and serve more time than a child molester.

It's sick. It's beyond sick. But I've had at least 4 girlfriends relate this to me. Sandlick Holler was the worst place for it. I dated a girl who's next door neighbor was her first cousin/sister. Her first child was her sister. Yeah. Sick. But they think it's normal.

And the more you folk deny it, the more you say it doesn't happen, the more you enable it. You have to educate men about this. You have to tell them that sex with relatives is a no-no.

And then you have to put offenders in jail for life. No probation, no warnings. Life.

Until you do, you will have this problem. Granted, it is slowly getting better on it's own. But how many more children have to be destroyed before you bite the bullet and speak up?

No, they weren't over 18. Well, one of them was. But then, I wasn't 18 then either. So it wasn't a big deal. I grew up in WV. I dated a LOT more than 4 girls in WV. More than 40. A lot more. Beckley girls are easy. Really easy.

The 4 were just the 4 that lived in Sandlick and went to Liberty HS. I quit dating girls from Liberty because of it.

There were many more girls who had stories to tell. But they lived all over the Beckley area. Like I wrote before, nearly 70% of them had some sort of sick story to tell. I didn't seek them out. I tried to avoid them.

Do you have any idea what a mood killer it is to have a girl open up to you like that? Do you know what that does to a 16 year old boy? It's no fun. What do you say to a girl like that? It sucks to have that happen. At least most of them waited until after they spread their legs to tell me. But then you feel all icky. Like, "Ewww! She screwed her brother and you were just inside that." Yuck.

I'm just glad that it's only happened once here in NC. And the girl doing the telling was a habitual liar. To this day I don't believe her preacher daddy got her pregnant twice and made her have two abortions. She would lie about the weather while standing outside.

From my experience, having had sex with dozens and dozens of women in two states over a time span of 25 years I have to conclude that incest is a problem in WV. Because the women here sure as hell don't get all weepy and start telling tales about daddy or whoever after you screw them.

well, where do i start??? this man rick putyon is my uncle. i know i shouldn`t be telling all this but i hope he dies in prison. he is a very sick man for doing something like this to one of my cousins. i was disowned by this family years ago because i was a little wild and mischivious. the whole family think that they are better than anyonelse. but now they have to clean up their own backyard. and i did 2 years in prison here in wv for verbally making a threat. i hav`nt been no angle but i could NEVER do anything to harm a child. the whole family has dealt drugs for years and always seem to never get into any trouble at all. they have always had the money to get out of everything. i know this for a fact. and people seem to just smack people like this on the hand and say it`s ok , just don`t do it again. if the people in wv would stand up for our kids and prosecute these men and women maybe it wouldn`t be so bad. me personally, i would like to see the whole family get a taste of what they deserve "prison" but back to this man, 2 of his sons from va, own all the property that they rent.this family moved here from woodbridge va about 5 or 6 years ago after retiring from the coast guard.but anyways, this man plead guilty last week to 2 counts of incest on a 6 year old granddaughter. and they took him to southern regional jail to await sentencing in october. i just can`t beleive that our system posts bonds where people like this can make bond and maybe hurt or kill again before they go to prison. he was out over a year awaiting his trial and he plead guilty. well, i hope the whole mitchell family gets what is coming to them. time will tell.

I dont believe that victems are gonna have sex with you and then say buy the way i have sex with my brother or father, whoever you decide in your mind it is gonna be.
