Ohio Valley Animal Clinic

Thought I would give them a try saving a trip to WV. The visit was superb and excellent. The Reception was very informative and very Professional. Spotless in the waiting area and the private room for the animal and owner. Assist was nice and talkative and very Professional with the animals. The Vet himself Dr. Josh Ervin spent time with me, my cat and dog discussing health issues and cures. To me it was not just and in and out visit. I know it is new but, Dr. Josh Ervin does have another customer. If you do decide to go out that way. You're going to be surprised by the service you get.

Is this the clinic located at 7 and Union Ave.?

HAVE NOT BEEN THERE YET as long as they are not like the other vet in town. i dont likes hyper ass kelly zipping aroud like he is on speed and the women in frount are more worried about getting payed right now then your pets health and the smell and when was the last time that they cleaned the place 1973 . i will not miss that place at all!!!

To be directly honest I haven't been out there for years. Went in with my cat and when I take her to the back there was in the other room directly beyond the examining room. There was blood all over the floor and table and I do believe someone just operated on and animal. That place is so unsanitary and nasty. So far outdated everywhere. Another thing is the old woman at the desk when you call and ask how much will it be, she will tell you one thing. Then when you get out there it is a different cost, higher usual. Thanks for stating the honest truth.

I called that vet i was worried about my dog she was taking to long to have her puppies n i called him twice n he was so nice calmed me down n gave me his personal cell number iff i needed him through the night he was great n i will def take my dog there... N as far as the other vet goes he can take my bill n shove it he gave my dog infection n when i went in to get her he was doing surgery on a dog 2 feet away it was awful!!!

getting one price by phone and it goes up when you walk in the door that has been done to me so many times and they tryed to charge me for a bill i never had. i like DAV but letting KELLY take over they may as well close the place noone likes KELLY at all.

Dose the new place take care of more then dog's an cat's ? I have two ferrets that need looked at . Anyone know ?

I like Kelly. He's been really good to all my 6 animals. He's a good vet and made a trip into the clinic when my cat got out and got hit and I didnt find her until almost midnight.

i had a cat that vomitted all the time we took her to kelly had her on steroids for two and half years. the steroids quit working so i took her to dr irwin he put her on some new meds she quit throwing up the day he gave her the new meds after two weeks now we are ready to take her off all meds i am like the other people i am tired of hyper kelly rush me in and out and i still don't know what's wrong with my cat. i will be a new customer to dr. irwin at least it don't stink to high heaven in there.

I know that the steroids are not cheep and to think that it was the wrong medication would piss me off. i got so tired of dealing with KELLY i started going to DR CRANK in Henderson WV. others i know live in MEIGS has been taking their pets and animals to Athens Parkersburg and Gallia. im glad that we have one local again hope i like him .
is it just me or is KELLY on SPEED most times you cant understand anything he said because he is talking so fast.

Dave and Kelly are in big trouble. Dr Ervin and his staff are the new favorites. They are clean and caring unlike Meigs county vet! It is about time someone else comes in and puts those asses out of business. They got along so well treating animals and people like shit because they were the only vets around. I thank God for the new choice! God bless you Dr. Ervin and your family if you have one!!!!

Yipeeee, go Dr.Ervin. I agree with all that has been said. I think this business is exactly what Pomeroy needs to help people. I know doc tor Ervin does have a family they are all very good people from Racine or Syracuse unlike others. As he has a cute little wife who was very personable when i was in the office and I believe his mother works at the clinic as well. It is very nice to see a caring family together instead of a nasty mother whom only cares about shoving people out the door and getting paid. I had a dog in the office they all were extremely friendly and helpfull. Not to mention clean a d drug free.

Dave is great but hes retiring and i never see anyone but the bitches in frount and push you in push you out Kelly. the BITCHS in frount do eveything but hold a shotgun to your head for their payment "NOW"!!!!
THEY WILL GET WORSE NOW KNOWING THEY ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!

This is WRONG!! Slandering a long running family business.
I LOVE my animals more than most people love their kids and I have used and DO use the Meigs Vet Clinic ALL THE TIME and have never ever had a problem. Kelly is very pleasant to me, has always treated my animals wonderfully and has saved my pets lives more than once! Their prices are the lowest in the area. IDK who has the vendetta against them, but IMO, there are enough loyal, thankful customers in this town. They will NOT go out of business. And there is NOTHING wrong with the doctors, the receptionists, or the facility!
Support our LONG STANDING local Vet. the one who has been here forever and will be. Can we say that about a newcomer? How long will he stay? will he put Dr. K & Dr. G out of business and then take off leaving us without local pet care? Who knows! stick with the tried, true, and trusted MEIGS VET CLINIC

My owners don't know that I can type on this button board. If I get caught no more cat nip for awhile. I am so relieved that I don't have to go out there on Mulberry anymore. My litter box smell better then that place ever has. I would claw my owners eyes out if they even think about putting me on that filthy floor. It would take at least 55 gallon drum of bleach and a power sprayer to even make a dent in sanitizing that place. Kelly = take the money and run. "OH" I hear a car door must hurry. I am in Love with my New Vet Man Ervin.

This is a downright LIE. The ladies at the desk have CRIED with me over my pets. and just the other day, I just ran in to grab something and ended up talking with them for quite a while. They are very informative, helpful, caring, friendly, I could go on and on. I love that place and the great people there who KNOW what they are doing and CARE.
How do you expect them to provide care without payment? Do YOU go to work and then not care if you get a check?? hmmm? Of course NOT. IF you even work, I'm sure you wouldn't let it fly if your employer didn't pay you. I'll guarantee you that the new vet in town isn't going to give you free animal care either!
That being said, I HAVE been provided with emergency care and billed for it at the Meigs Vet Clinic. When I did not have any money on me at the moment. Apparently, they knew YOU would not be likely to pay if they didn't demand it up front. But, I assure you that they will work with their loyal, long term customers with a history of PAYING when necessary. They wouldn't refuse to take care of an ill or injured animal!
I cannot believe the lengths people would go to to sabotage the livelihood of the clinic and it's employees. What do you stand to gain?

Again.. lie lie lie. I Like Kelly. I know A Lot of people who do. Sorry you have had a bad experience. Sounds like sour grapes really. Like you have ran up a huge bill which is theft actually. Stealing a service. And now you found a way out. A new place to do the same thing. Guess what? it won't last there either. LOL
If you can't afford pet care, then you shouldn't have pets.
