i've personally known matt danen for a while now. people have the wrong impression of him. they make it out to seem as if he killed corey mcneil. to put it blunty, corey did it to himself. matt didn't force the pills down his throat. he took them on his own free will. and as far as that night goes, any of them could have died.

honestly, losing a best friend seems to be a large punishment as it is. matt danen doesn't deserve what the media makes him out to be nor two years in jail.

i love you matt, see ya when you get out.

I personally knew Corey. I know his family, his coaches, and his best friend, Ben. Corey was a hardworking, honest, determined person. On the day he died I got a phone call from his best friend who came running to my house. I knew Corey he always was there for EVERYONE and anyone who needed him. Sure no one forced the pills down his throat, but time can not be rewound. Danen does deserve some time behind bars and I believe it is just. He was selling drugs, how is that legal in any form? Maximum two years behind bars may be a good thing. He's not behind bars for the death, he's behind bars for the pills. It could happen to anyone. But unfortunately someone goes to jail while the other one my good friend, Corey, lost his life.

This case is pure bullshit, Danen did not get caught with any drugs at all, every one of the witnesses had over 4 differnt storys, one went from i was sleeping to i know everything. Matt does not deserve this punishment at all. Corey was the one who took the pills himself, which in my vision should be considered sucicide not homicide, when a doctor perscribes meds to someone and they die from it, do they get charged? No. Does danen deserve this punishment? What if danen was a doctor? He would not be in this situation
Matt danen never said a word, HE RUNS the local anti snitch movement

I knew Corey from school and i knew Matt to and Corey was the person that everyone went to when they needed to talk to someone. Corey did take the pills but Matt SOLD them to him he had the drugs in his possession so really he SHOULD get put behind bars cause he was selling them illeaglly how is that not against the law???????? Cause if it isnt I really want to know.
We miss you so much Corey and we love you. <3

I liked ben and im sorry that he had to lose his best friend but it was corey's fault that that happened to him. He knew what he was doing and what he was getting into. I dont feel that matt should get any time behind bars he was a nice kid and got mixed up in some trouble and as far as corey being nice to everyone and willing to do anything for anyone i personally cant think of one time when he wasnt a DICK!

sure matt may be a nice kid, but time behind bars for dealing and possession i compltely agree with, yeah it was corey's choice to take the pils and no one is denying that but drugs are illegal and dealign them is illgeal and i beleive no matter who you are that you shoudl be put behind bars for the sellign and possession of it, same rules goes for everyone, time behind bars could do some poepl some good.

I've known Corey since middle school and he was always the one I could talk to when something was wrong. He had his own problems that most people don't know about because he hid them from a lot of people. I love him so much. Today has been three years and it still hurts just as much as the day I found out.

That Matt kid did get what he deserves. Selling is not cool. He was in possession of the pills. It's against the law. People don't realize that if Corey would have lived, he would have been charged too if someone found out.

Either way, anyone who knew Corey as well as I did knows he didn't do it on purpose. And we all know we can still talk to him when we need to vent. Even if he doesn't say anything back now.

He was a great friend to a lot of us and he is truly missed still to this day.

Corey was the best friend I've ever had, and after 3 years, nobody has even come close to matching him. Early on i accepted that Corey took the pills himself, and that nobody forced him to (I'd honestly like to go back in time and try to force him to do ANYTHING) but Matt DID sell him the drugs, and as everybody knows, that is what he is was charged with, not killing Corey, but ILLEGALLY selling drugs. I felt bad for Matt because i know he was good friends with Corey and that his death was already a huge punishment. Now that it's been 3 years, and we can all look back at how much we love Corey, and we can all think that Matt has learned his lesson, but just keep thinking that. I have been told he is STILL selling drugs, even after one of his friends was killed by drugs that he sold to him, and after spending time in jail.
I USED to feel bad for him, but now i wish they would have given him a harsher sentence because apparently he hasn't learned his lesson

We all miss you and love you Corey.

I knew corey very well, and I also dated Corey. First off...what kind of friend offers another friend drugs? I know that if I was the kind of person who uses drugs I am sure not going to offer them to my friends...that would be MY bad habbit that I would not want to share with my friends...I think that matt deserves EVERYTHING he got if not more..we lost someone really special to us and we will never get him back...matt will get out of jail and get to live his life. He is responsible for Corey's death no matter what anyone says. I hope that he sees Corey's face everytime he closes his eyes and thinks to himself that HE did this to his "best friend" sadly that is NOT a best friend..if a friend at all. So whoever is on Matt's side, I am sorry for you because Corey will never be with us again, and Matt gets to live his life...what so this can happen to someone else? I dont think so.

We love and miss you dearly Corey...eventually we will see you again.

first of all what kind of friend r u if u dont offer ur friends drugs... thats just rude. secondly he knew what he was doing by taking those drugs. it should not be matts responsibility to baby sit people because they didnt know what they were doing. if matt didnt sell him pills he would have found someone else to get them for him anyways. so suck a d!ck kendra
