Sex Offenders Working at the Rush

The is a sexual predator working at the Rush Fitness named Todd Marion. He assualted his ex-wife in front of his 18 month old child, spent a very short time in county jail and moved back to Knoxville, TN. Many of my girlfriends workout at his facility and take their children with them. I have personally seen the court documents so I know this message is true. Stay clear of this sick-o.

Which Rush facility? I checked the Family Watchdog website for this person and there's no mention. Was there a conviction?

Let the management at the Rush know about this. Their employees should have to pass a background check, and unless their clientèle is 100% adult, I don't believe that it is lawful for them to employ a registered sex offender. It's also a federal offense for a registered offender to move from one state to another without registering in the new state, so if the offense occurred out of state, the FBI might be interested.

Yes, second degree sexual assult. Look under Mathew Todd Marion. Last I was told, the one down west.

We have been told that since the act was in TX, he doesn't have to register in TN. This is according to his probation officer.

That is not true. If it were, ALL offenders would just move out of state. It is a nationwide registry that they have to be a part......unless this man wasn't convicted and false accusations are being spread.

I just checked Texas too - nothing. The website I use posts ALL address changes, even state to state.

He was convicted of second degree sexual assult! He didn't register in Texas either. This is a fact!! If it is a lie, then he can try to sue me for libel. He will fail, thats why he wont do it!!! I wrote this for all the Dads or Moms who might just drop off their little girls to work out in front of this guy. I would not want my little girl to work out where people like this work. Investgate it for yourself Knoxville. I have all the information I need and my family is safe.

You're posting from Houston? How do you know he works out at The Rush?

You have to register - especially if there was a conviction. Wouldn't that come from the court?

And I did try to investigate it for myself - returned NOTHING.

Hmmmm......ok, upon further investigation through the Texas Dept of Public Safety, I discovered the following information regarding "registration":

"The Texas Department of Safety (DPS) has established this Web site as the official Internet source for Sex Offender Registration information. The Sex Offender Registration open record information is extracted from the DPS Sex Offender Registration Database. The DPS maintains files based on registration information submitted by criminal justice agencies and represents a statewide source of information on sex offenders required by law to register. Effective September 1, 1999, the Texas Legislature mandated specific information regarding a sex offender's home telephone number, social security number, drivers license number and any information required by DPS for law enforcement purposes not be open record."

Never said he works out there. He is employeed there and my friend was the one assulted and she showed me the court documents. He is being told by his probation officer that he does not have to register. If he does and he is not, then he is breaking the law. Check to see if second degree sexual assult is required to register.

Concerned: According to the Texas Dept of Safety, the information is submitted by the criminal justice agencies themselves. Am I missing the boat here? If I'm understanding correctly, HE does not register, the courts register him. Am I misunderstanding?

you must register if you move to another state or take your chances of not getting caught. i would not want my children in the daycare at these faculity

They would have registered him as soon as he was convicted in court. Even if he didn't tell them when he moved, his last address should still be on file.

Once you get a response, go back into the link above with your password and log in. Look up SID # 10137642
In big letters you will then see SEXUAL ASSULT

All this information is free by the way.

With all fairness to the Rush. They were probably lied to by this guy and slipped through the cracks, but I have provided the proof and now it is up to the Rush to do the right thing. Again:
