99% of police beatings can be avoided by keeping your mouth shut. The police don't beat anyone up for running a stop sign, they will do what is necesary to get their point across about being an unsafe driver. A mag light is a lot cheaper than a hospital stay or a funeral.

I deal with people's mouths 5 days a week. If I bashed their heads off the counter until their eyes popped out, I'd be in jail. If a lawsuit was filed against me, I'D have to pay for it. The taxpayers wouldn't have to cover the cost for my stupidity.

Ok lets look at this from the side of the road where none of us where standing!!!(we were not there). So none of us actually know what happened. This man was hurt in a police scuffle, no that this is right, no he should not have to lose his eye, but it is his responsiblity to act accorrding to the law. He is responsible for his actions as the police are responsible for theirs. It is their job to protect and serve, and yes this man is a small man but has anyone one seen an episode of cops where a cop is not stepping on the neck of an unruly suspect??? In that respect have u seen an episode where they are ruffing up a supect that is calm and had thier self under control?? With all that being said I do not agree with the outcome of this situation but it is a persons responiblity to be in control of his or hers actions, and sad but true the police are trained to control your actions for u if you cant. Let me just say again I was not there, and I dont not agree with the outcome but there are laws and people who are trained to enforce them.
