Things are not looking to good for Hossie and his bandits out in the publics eye...here he is getting major complaints by the ethics committee...on the local news channels for having a convicted felon on his payroll running the jail and for letting the Pigeon Forge Chief's son die on his watch. And the people of this county want him as a Sheriff? There has been so many preventable mishaps in the Sheriff's Dept. since he was APPOINTED. His ways are not working for the newer aged criminals...Hoss you are too worn out, your fat, high blood pressure, bad vison, very poor ethics,no consideration for your public folks that are not in your daily thoughts, you lie to people, you can't stand behind your word which is cowardliness, that alone is insubordination and dereliction of duty....give it up and retire while you can on a good note...go out with a least a little pride for yourself...everyone knows you have been a fixture of the sheriff's department for years as a "yes man".

DID YOU KNOW THAT HOSSIE HAD LARRY MCMAHAN TO CALL BALDWIN ON THE PHONE TO TELL ABOUT HIS SON'S DEATH,DID NOT HAVE THE COMMOND, HUMAN COURTESY TO SEND ONE OF HIS OWN DEPUTIES IN PERSON TO TELL THE CHIEF

Like I said on the last forum, if someone wants to committ suicide they are going to do it no matter what. It takes 5 minutes to hang youself. It breaks your neck! It doesn't matter if the corrections officer had just made their rounds, as soon as they left, he did it. There is no one to blame here. When he found the opportunity, he was gonna do it anyway!! It happens everyday in jails. If you dont believe it, search it on yahoo. It's not Hoss' fault or the CO's fault. He wanted to hang himself so he did.... he successfully did it...end of story!! It's sad b/c he has children and now they dont have a Dad, and now a Mom and Dad doesn't have a Son. Such a sad situation. Instead of putting a blame game on everyone we need to be praying for the family!

Ron Seals can't run anything. Step down HOSS!

How does a ex cop get charged with theft in the Sevier Jail, anyone tell me?
|

The worst we've ever had did better than that! My sympathy is with those who loved Brad, his entire family - who brought him into this world, loved him and gave him their best - and I pray there may be a special peace in their hearts and souls after a time when they reflect on him as their 'special person', remembering the better times in all their lives. There comes a time when people need peace, this I pray for them all! |

1 Your time is wrong. It takes 17 minutes to "hang" your self. In the cell he was in or any other single cell unit inmates take a sheet and run it through the metal facing of the heating/air vent. Those vents are located on the walls about 8 to 9 feet high. When a inmate "hangs" themselves it is actually choking themselves. The inmate will tie a slip not and lean forward till they pass out, this causes them to pass out or black out. Once this begins it takes the human body 17 minutes to completely stop the heart. Let me add something else to this situation of Brads. Anytime a man/woman inside a jail system ask to be placed in isolation and is moved there. It is up to the supervisor of the shift to make that decision first of all, then he to should let his supervisor (Lt. or Capt.) know of this movement requested by the inmate. When this has been passed on to all officers of the shift, the supervisor should advise his staff to do 15 minute suicide watch checks on that inmate for the time he is in segregation/isolation. In my opinion and experience in corrections/ law enforcement. The duty shift supervisor should be held more accountable. Evidently there was no 15 minute checks being performed. This is a standard policy of the American Correctional Assoc. and within state guidelines. Now... if this officer whom moved him did not advise his supervisor, that was the first breakdown, but if he did and the supervisor was notified and authorized this movement and placed a 15 minute suicide watch to a specific officer and he failed to do the 15 minute checks he is responsible then. So if what I speak of here is not in the policy and procedures manual, then this jail(county) will be in for a massive law suit. And if the TBI finds a flaw in the logging performed by the men's control tower and the recorded radio transmissions and other recordings, then it falls upon the sheriff. He is then held responsible because he is the officer responsible for advising the capt. and Lt's to enforce this policy. |

What were they thinking, a face to face notification of such a tragedy was the right thing to do. They should be ashamed, how long did he lay there before any one even noticed, this is
such a tragedy, Brad was a kind hearted person, who had a problem, this my friends is why we should never judge, everyone is someone's son or daughter, or mom or dad,, I pray for the family to find strenght and comfort in god's word, he will struggle no more,,, he is in a better place, and he was a friend and a good somebody,,, If someone at the jail dropped the ball, I hope they pay dearly, how many people have died there,I can think of 4 or 5,, Mark Webber comes to mind,,

Can't close the Stampede. Got too many Centuary 21 agents working part time at night cleaning tables to make ends meet. |

I'm sure if Brad were your son or friend, you would feel different, I'm not condoning bad and or criminal activity, I am only saying the law is clear that we provide safe keeping of inmates, most the people in our local jail are there because of addiction, the law is clear on what is expected of us, and its not about having a country club at all, for to treat people like a human being is not to much to act, the dogs at the pound recieve better care, they had not checked on Brad, if they had of he would most likely still be alive, how many minutes or hours had past,, he had threatened suicide and they ignored it,,I hope they can all sleep tonight,

Actually he did not "hang" his self. Not in the true sense. And was not on suicide watch. He did kill his self with a towel and a door. The CO's followed all procedures. TBI will clear the department in this matter and it will be ruled as a sad ending for a youg man charged only with theft and had not given any reason to believe he needed to be on suicide watch. The Sheriffs officers are to be commended for doing all they could in this matter. |
It is a sad time in Sevier County with so many contracts being rejected by the banks. No more 100% financing. General policy is 20% down for all loans, so many of the buyers back away from the deal not wanting to dip into their own cash reserves. Rental cabin construction loans are dead and it appears so are the "spec" home loans. A friend at a local pawnshop told that he sees a lot of agents these days acquiring loans on Rolexs, jewery, handguns and personal tools with the hope that a closure is just around the corner. Hundreds of local construction workers out of work and now it appears the outbreak of theft reports across the county can be directly linked to those out of work with no forseeable income. Hard times are approaching for Sevier County citizens. Some reports in the Wall Street Journal point to a worst case of a possible unemployment rate of 30 to 40% for the entire country late in 2008, with a depression to shortly follow the recession the goverment continues to deny. I wonder what the end result for our fair county would be? Watch our local paper brag how well our county is doing while foreclosure numbers continue to climb weekly. Many of the home sales that are being transacted are at dollar amounts 25 to 30% below asking price. |

As I understand it, he made the comment that he would not go back to prison. That is enough to have placed him on watch, but it did not happen. This is more of Seals incompentance in action. How many more lifes will be lost. Seals needs to go. He is a crook and it runs in his family. |

I understand that Rush Limbaugh ruined his mind with oxycontin. Didn't he have his maid buy him thousands of pills? Why didn't he go to jail?

If you visit www.seviercorruption.com you can see evidence that Sheriff Ron Seals is NOT above tampering with documents to cover his activities. Anything he does regarding the investigation would not surprise me. The only thing I'm surprised about is that he admitted anything about an investigation! By the way Seals, aren't some of your signs in places the City of Sevierville said they COULDN'T be?? Just wondering, as it seems the more problems your campaign runs into, the more signs we see. Trust me Ron, people are seeing the real you. Good luck, and remember, the election is not over until AUGUST, so there is plenty of time to resign.

Mikey, I would invite you to supply us with a sex offenders list with my name on it you idiot. And you might want to see the DA about your other claims also. While you're there ask Hossie why SEVERAL bogus reports he tinkered with had to be subpoenaed by Bryan Delius on my behalf. As far as suing you about any of this, I agree with what Mike Jenkins told me.....you are crazy and have nothing.
