Dollywood still sucks but, I will clairify my earlier post. I do go a couple of times a year because my wife gets free passes from her employer. I still hate the place, but I love my children and I too was a child once. That said I grumble a little and in the end I make the most of our visits and have fun with my children. I do enjoy the mystery mine, thunderhead,and a host of other rides. I may not enjoy the freakishly long waits in line for Mystery mine or the miles and miles of pavement I cover while there but, I did make a point to figure out what I realy hate about dollywood. It actualy surprised me and showed me what I realy like about it. Things I hate about Dollywood. 1 The trafic nightmare location. 2 Having to pay to park at a place already raking in the bucks. 3 The wickedly overloadedness of the place- you can't even walk. 4 When the park is near closing you are hearded like cattle into a stall to wait for the only ride to your car.

SEVIERVILLE — Dixie Stampede has settled a civil suit filed by parents who say their children were molested by an assistant there in 2005.
Armando Martinez Gonzalez, an undocumented immigrant, took a "best interest" plea to multiple charges of aggravated sexual battery last year. The plea means he did not admit guilt but acknowledged the state had enough evidence to convict him. Judge Rex Henry Ogle sentenced him to nine years in prison.
The families of his four alleged victims, all of whom where younger than 13, filed a civil complaint against Dixie Stampeded and against Gonzalez. That complaint came to an end Jan. 30, according to court documents, when Judge Richard Vance approved a settlement among the parties during a closed hearing.
"Based on this finding and order of the court, the terms of the compromise ... shall extinguish all claims that were brought and those that could have been brought in the actions filed herein by the minors and their parents."
The terms of the settlement were not included in court documents.
Pete Owens, spokesperson for Dixie Stampede, said the order marks the conclusion of the litigation on the case.
"Our understanding is that the recent filings with the court are the end of this matter," he said. "We have no comment on the proceedings.
