That is what they needed..Parents today do not hold their children to respect each other and maybe this would be a good lesson for them.

Good lesson for the girls. Maybe they will think twice before a confrontation in school.

These girls deserve this. This is just a lesson to them. Stop them now or they will reqret it later.

Let me get this straight. You get four nights in jail for yelling and causing a disruption in class but nothing when you are arrested for making meth three times.. where is the logic in this????

Children go to school for education and they should not be subjected to violence. If children don't know how to control their anger they need to go to some type of alternative school. They don't need to be allowed to go to school with those that are just trying to get an education.

What is wrong with some children today. I only went to school twenty-odd years ago and it was nothing like it is today. I guess we were smarter that the teens of today, not all, but most. I am always proud to read about young people, of any gender or ethnicity, who are taking advantage of the educational oportunities we have today. Some school districts in our state purchase lap-top computers for the students to use. That is a big step toward allowing children from families with no computers to have the same advantages as others.

Many of the teachers are spectacular. Not all of them are child molesters as the media will have us believe. There are perverts in every profession.

If any child of at least average intelligence is left behind, it is his or her fault. It's out there. They just have to be willing to work to get it. Many of them don't realize that the decisions they make at eight years old may determine whether they are able to drive a Mercedes or Murray Bicycle when they grow up. We need to remind them that the word does not owe them "Jack." and any thing they want, they will have to be willing to work and make sacrafices for. So if you are a child reading this and people pick at you and call you "nerd", "bookworm", or "Oreo", don't worry. They will be the one's walking while your checking your laptop to find how much your investments have grown. Do not bring yourself down to anyones level to get their approval. You won't be in their same circle when you become successful, so don't try to fit in it now.

zero tolerance is zero tolerance. Stop making excuses for hardheaded, disobedient, and disrespectful children, discipline them and teach them about God.

You're joking, right? True, many of the bible stories talk about murder, adultry, slavery, and all other manners of evil. However, what you need to concentrate on are the words that are Written in red. If we follow the teaching of Jesus, we won't go wrong. Just because someone is a biblical character, it doesn't mean we're suppose to pattern our life totally after them. The people in the bible were flesh and blood. They had some bad qualities and some good qualities. I think that every person should read Proverbs and Eclesiastes. These were the words of Soloman, the man that was given his wisdom by God.

Okay YOU people have to start being more creative. You are starting to sound like Charlie Brown's teacher.

They didn't have to arrest them they could have suspended them but taken them to jail over some words is not right. I have known kids to fight they don't get arrested but they do because of some words just don't sit right with me.

The ones who fight SHOULD be arrested too.

I truly believe that these girls were handled in the proper manner.It will send a message to all teenagers that if you show that you are not home trained, jail will be the answer. I wonder what do the parents believe that should happened to his or her child? Sometimes that parents are not home trained either. You don't hear from the parents until his or her child is in trouble with the law. If a teacher should call these parents to complain to them about his or her child, there would not be a response. These girls need a little time in jail for cursing in front of adults. They were only acting out what they see at home. The parents and the girls should be in a training section for showing how to have good manners and respect for others.

JUST ANOTHER good REASON WHY WELL EDUCATED PARENTS WHO TAKE THEIR CHILDREN TO CHURCH/SUNDAY SCHOOL MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER HOME SCHOOLING AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO PUBLIC SCHOOL VIOLENCE!

Just ANOTHER good reason to NOT PUT CHILDREN IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND EDUCATE THEM AT HOME!

Shouldn`t have acted up when there was a holiday or on Friday. Same thing happened fifty years ago. No one claimed their rights were being abused. Kids were just glad to be back home and not in Juvenile jail. This was true on the west coast and the east coast. Course everyone seems to have excuses for almost every behavior. At least it seems that way.

We send our children to school to learn, not act like animals. I bet they will never act in such a way again. I have worked in the public school systems for numerous years, and never have I heard such dirty mouths on such young people. If their parents are going to teach them morals and manners- I guess the law will. After all the other students should not be subjected to having their education dirupted. SPANK THEIR BUTTS.
