I hope these boys and the father don't get away with this. This is attempted murder not aggrivated assult. Pray for the child clinging on to his life and for his family, they need it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE FATHER INVOLVED, THATS CRAZY.

I remember we use to fist fight, and my senior year was the worst I had ever saw was belts and belt buckles being used as wepons... These suspects need to be charged as adults. so it would be a constant reminder while trying to get into college and to find a job

Vince is one of my friends. Hes a baseball player. His senior year. Had his whole life ahead of him. Now he's fighting for his life because a group of people took a baseball bat to his head. It just makes me wonder what this world is coming to.

First off its just words if you let a text message get to you were you dang near have to beat somebody to death then you have serious issues and to this so called father who is involved what is wrong with you the little boy is 17 how does it make you feel to know that you helped your 15 year old son steal and almost kill another child you should feel like shit the violence is not worth it you should have contacted his parents and somehow settled the whole situation before it landed that young man in the hospital

This is terrible. Please tell me the people involve do not live in Hernando. I know the fight was in Hernando (or Nesbit) and I think the haunted house is in Hernando, but I really hope the guys with the bats are not from my town.

Why don't the charges include attempted murder? Several blows to the head with deadly weapon are considered aggravated assault? I thought that was when somebody took a fist punch.

This is insane.
There were 2 more boys hurt.
One having BRAIN surgery still in the hospital & another with a broken arm, staples in his FOREHEAD and a concussion.
I guess they weren't important to mention.
Attempted MURDER sounds like it to ME!
What a way to raise your son, dad!

If you swing more than once with a bat it is aggravated assault, but you would think as much damage they did to this boy it would be attempted murder.

The sad part about all of this is there are 3 hurting families. Two young men with their entire lives a head of them in the hospital one in the struggle of his life to hold on. And one family whose sons nearly killed these two young men. We have got to get our children under control. You don't fix anything ever by fighting. No matter what. The dad of the other boys has been getting his boys out of trouble for years. Well, sorry to say this maybe you will all wind up in prison together. Wonder what kind of parenting you can do from there.

All of us are praying for Vince & Larry.

I HOPE THESE IGNORANT BOYS AND THEIR FATHER GET THE MAXIMUM PENALTY.I PERSONALLY KNOW THEY ARE FULLY AWARE OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE, EVEN TAKING MEASURES TO COVER THEIR MISTAKES. THESE CRIMINALS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REPAY THE PAIN AND SUFFERING THEY HAVE CAUSED THE VICTIMS (LARRY AND VINCE) AND THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. LARRY IS IN THE ICU AND IN LOTS OF PAIN. HE HAD TO UNDERGO BRAIN SURGERY YESTERDAY MORNING. LIFE IS PRECIOUS AND TOO SHORT FOR THIS KNID OF VIOLENCE OVER NOTHING. TOMORROW IS NEVER PROMIOSED AND I HOPE OTHERS CAN LEARN FROM THIS CARELESS EVENT. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE VICTIMS.

LARRY HOUSE IS AN AMAZING MAN AND WONDERFUL PERSON. HE'S VERY POSITIVE AND DETERMINED SO I KNOW HE'LL PULL THROUGH. HE HAD BRAIN SURGERY YESTERDAY AND IS STILL IN THE ICU TODAY. NO ONE WANTS TOO SEE THE SIGHT OF SOMEONE THEY LOVE LIKE I SAW LARRY. TUBES IN HIS ARMS AND HEAD...IN A GREAT DEAL OF PAIN. SEEING HIM HAVE TO SUFFER THIS MUCH MAKES ME RECOGNIZE AND APPRECIATE THE LAW AND I PRAY THAT JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED. THE BOYS AND THEIR FATHER SHOULD GET ATTEMPTED MURDER. I PRAY FOR VINCE AND HIS FAMILY.GOD BLESS YOU AND SEND YOU STRENGTH.

People really need to talk to their children and let them know how valueable it is to make correct decisions with the company they keep, and how certain actions could mean their life being over for stupid decisions that could have been avoided. We need much prayer in times like these. Children please make wise decisions don't let people influence you into doing things you know are not right, leave go and tell and adult that can help resolve the problem. Stop, Think, and Listen!
