I don't know Mark and his family very well personally. But the times I've seen him and his children they have all spoken and seemed nice. His wife does look unfriendly and has not spoken to me unless spoken to, but she has never been hateful. In my opinion they don't seem any different then anyonelse. Some people are sociable and others are not. I think that is in every town.

Tammy B wrote: Wewoka is a joke. Thank GOD for the bypass! I heard an old lady that lived next to the Baptist preacher was hauled off to Kansas by a couple of queens who had a coffee shop. Stole her money, home, and minerals and left her to die. Is it true? Which Baptist church was it? Maybe she was happier to die in Kansas than to stay alive in Wewoka.

jeezus-I live here in Wewoka, and I would like to tell Mark I apologize for the RUDENESS of the people that are talking crap on here to you. Obviously these people have nothing better to do than get on here and talk crap. I personally like living here, but I don't know or associate with anyone but my family. I do know and LOVE Nancy Lively, but I don't know anyone else over in that neighborhood. I'm sorry your neighbors are assholes-move up here on the bluff next to me, I'll show you some respect and neighborly kindness-the way a REAL christian should!!

Mark Solvie wrote: We've lived in Wewoka for 4 years. We have 6 kids, a dog, and several businesses. I'd like to think the people in Wewoka are nicer than I've experienced personally from our neighbors, so I'd like to hear some positive comments about Wewoka. Honestly, I've been around the world, lived in big cities and was raised in a small town, and this is the most nasty unfriendly place I've ever experienced. I think it is the neighborhood. After we had about enough of the neighbors we locked the gate to the golf course... now that got their attention. Imagine driving through someone's yard whom you called the police on because you didn't like their kiddy pool, or didn't like the two pet hens their kids had gotten from their grandma as chicks, or calling the police & child welfare because a visiting kid drove a golf cart into a street sign. The same neighbor put four poles six feet into the ground about 20" from the side of the road and 18" out of the ground, filled them with cement, and camouflaged them green...to protect his sprinkler heads & this undamaged street sign. The sign is at the corner of Dove Tree & Boggy Lane...go see the poles on your Sunday after church drive and see some of Gods Love in Wewoka. Imagine if your mother cuts that corner, hits one of those poles, and puts her face into the windshield. Sad isn't it? Who cares about sprinkler heads over people? I just can't imagine people are this hateful, it's going to kill them to hold so much anger in their hearts. I want to hear good & positive things about Wewoka folks...obviously the ones we don't know yet. Please post some. I will start one, Nancy & John Lively have been wonderful neighbors, friendly, kind, true Christians... and we all miss John. I want to know that Wewoka is not all as hateful as what we've experienced... or is this why this town in the shape it is in? I've really never experienced such a hateful place, I could tell you story after story of these folks. Never will one even say a word to us, like we're going to sick our 4 year old on them or something. Also, most of them never have guests, no grand kids staying over, none of that, it's like the movie Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang and the town where they had to hide the children. It's the strangest place I've ever lived, like a bad dream, only filled with hateful old people driving Buick's & Cadillac's. A few words of advice: you won't win a popularity contest by posting such comments or by airing your dirty laundry for all to see.
