Must be too early for all the "Debbie Downer" experts to dispute the facts in the article, and tell us how it's all a pack of lies.

"But the second-quarter total was 12 percent higher than the number of first-quarter starts, a sign that builders were anticipating an increase in demand, Metrostudy reported."

That's not a fact. Just a statistic plus a hell of a lot of speculation?

This spin-filled article carefully only looks at new homes and does not mention selling prices at all. Builders have to be unloading the homes they are selling at deep discounts which will drive existing homes down even more.

Sorry cheesy realtor, the market has a long way to go to hit bottom. You better go back to tending bar. There are only so many more New Yeuricans that can move to Avalon Park, thank God!

It's all a big conspiracy by the realtors, mortgage companies and builders.

surveys are done to prove what you want to prove.

who needs to see a survey to see projects stopped in their tacks, discounted new homes not being sold, banks not getting paid and going bk, and any where else you look, things are not looking better....the near future looks worse.

It would be interesting to see what the actual true sales price figures are for these builders and not the number that shows on the recorded deed... Which anyone with half a brain should know are over inflated.

Anyway, as of this morning for the month of July, only 913 units sold in Orange & Seminole county... Of those units sold, 236 were either bank owned, preforeclosure or short sales... Yeah, we're at a bottom, NOT!!!

Keep your eyes on the upcoming spike in inventory for July... Just check any realtors website, click on Property Search and note the spike in number of available listings for the available counties...

I looked at the end of June and the number was around 105,000 listings, today it's at 130,915... According to my calculations, the inventory numbers for the 4 county area (Orange, Osceola, Seminole, & Lake) should be considerably higher from last month... Probably above 30K

I've been looking at 55+ communities in Central Florida and have visited Lakes of Mount Dora. I like what I see. It is a great area, prices very reasonable and the builder Pringle is local with a good reputation. Mount Dora is a nice community with a great ambiance. Still looking, but Lakes of Mount Dora is definitely on my short list.

Baltimore-DC corridor is a corrupt, crowded, Demorat-controlled cesspool. Just like all places that the Demorats control. Anyplace in Otown other than Paramore or Crime Hills is better.

Go look at a map, genius. Find Lake Down, put your finger on it. Find downtown Orlando, put your finger on it. Now look at how far apart your fingers are. We are closer to Ocoee than downtown Orlando. The zip code is 34786 for Pete's sake. Do some research before you open that yap. What are you- a realtor?

Drive through Deluca Homes Woodland Lakes Preserve and tell me how wonderful everything is getting. When I looked at homes back in December 2007 it seemed like a pretty nice place... now I wonder why you would buy a home there when it seemed like 1/5 homes were up for sale/foreclosure/short sale or just looked abandoned(e.g. empty house with over grown lawns.) Real Estate agents should have been arrested for fraud and forced to pay the $300 billion tax payers are now being forced to pay due to their greedy ways. Real Estate agents are the lowest of the scum, below child rapists!
