1 :/ That isn't KARATE. |

Its on their building- KARATE. I heard that before we moved, it was with one of his female students and he has done a good job of keeping it hush hush. It should be in Lamar County records.

cOULD YOU GIVE ME MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE CRIME? |

Could someone give some more information on this. My child is at HTA and if Brandon has done something illegal, I would like to know what it was.
Thank you |

I would think you could ask the district attorny's office in the county that it happened. Maybe sheriff's office or the circuit court?
|
||||
I would suggest Gymme's Tae Kwon Do. My daughter takes from him and he and the other instructors are great with the kids. They have locations in Petal and Oak Grove. |

You're full of sh!t. Brandon wasn't charged with anything ever involving a child. Had this checked at eh Sherrif's Office. Stop lying you douchebag. |

Under 18= check
Intructor/student= check You are the one thats not telling the truth |

I don't know who is telling the truth. Neither has information to confirm or deny. It is a serious thing to accuse someone of somethinig like child molestation and not back it up. Someone could have a issue with the person they are accsuing and lie for that purpose. Also someone else who may favor the accused could believe that the other is lying. It would be good for legal facts to be listed. Otherwise, please consider that you are damaging a person's credibility with such accusations.

Can anyone on this site confirm the location of the martial arts academy and/or the identity of the instructor in question? Preferably with proof (ie, links and references to the newspapers that published the story or any other info that you have). If these allegations have truth to them, it needs to be known so that parents can protect their children. If not, they need to be dropped and this topic abandoned.
Thank you in advance for you assistance. |

I read it in the lamar times about a year ago- it was in the arrests/jail docket portion of the paper. I called around and confirmed it was the Brandon Greene that taught at the taekwondo place because I had a friend that took her kids there.

Thanks.

I am over Hattiesburg Tawkwondo Acadamy- its not about the art- its pure business. International Taekwondo Alliance is a joke.

From reading Jaded's post- they are/were with ITA. I understand the concern as well as your statement- it must be run properly but it has to be a balance with sharing the art of the sport. Its bad when people call the place a McDojo, you test for a belt every 6 weeks, equipment/patches changes every year which in turn you have to purchase new ones, etc. Plus they are stating they teach Ju Jitsu when they only took a intructors class in it (not true Ju Jitsu). It sounds like a pure business and not a good mix.

The ITA does not sanction the formation of "McDojos" as you call them. Their manuals and printed material states that they teach a traditional martial art while researching and consulting modern kinesiology and medical information to do so in the safest way possible. They are not your stereotypical Cobra-Kai dojo. Anyone and everyone is welcome to practice TKD in the ITA to the best of his or her ability. Belt testings are held every 8 or 9 weeks for color-belt ranks -- after black belt is reached the testings slow down to 4 to 6 months between. The color belt ranks are viewed as pre-training for the black belt ranks -- like taking Introduction to Sociology before beginning a Sociology major in college.
The ITA itself is a licensing group, not an overseer of the schools. They set the curriculum, but they do not individually run each school. That is the job of the manager/franchisee. Much like a restaraunt chain hands out logos and recipes, but the actual running of the store still resides in the manager/owner. So while one ITA school could look like a "McDojo", another could be the sharpest, toughest, most traditional school in town. Both have the potential to be successful and stay open, but the true success would be determined by the rank and skill of the students. |
