Women's Lib.. Were We Wrong??

Could We Have Been Wrong?? The whole concept of women getting the right to vote and equality with men seemed like a fair idea..but did what we done then play a huge roll in the mess our country is in now.. family life and schools, job market and child rearing. I am a female, 49 yrs old, I have never really been a liberated woman. I still feel a man is the head of the home and the one person I should always stand united with is my husband. I heard a talk show on the radio one afternoon and the topic was how different would our economy be and how are children would be better if we would have stayed old school. I had to agree with him. I listened to a lot of the angry women who were appalled at the very thought of it and believe it or not their were quite a large number of callers who felt like me. Think about it..if things were like before..their would be more jobs for men.because it is like 5 women to every one man..I think that is the right % but that would open up 4 jobs right there.now multiply that by the number of women working..WOW that would be a lot of jobs. Think how better off our children would be if Mom was home everyday after school..We would be raising our own children.Not a day care worker.The crime rate would be a lot lower. Schools safer, the list goes on and on. Before you write back if you feel so inclined..Please sit down and write out all the differences there would be, with an open mind.

Wow lady, you're worth your weight in gold! If your husband isn't a proud man, he should be and if you don't have one, you SHOULD! I don't see many people commenting at all on this topic yet, it's one that lies at the very root of the deteriorating American society we're all experiencing and can't seem to get a clue as to why! Could be because it takes too much brains and not anger or that touchy word,"Racism" to deal with! Before i get started, let me add some more to what you've already covered very well: There'd be fewer affairs, fewer divided families, more WOMEN getting married, fewer divorces and last but not least, fewer of these so-called, "Family" courts that are extremely, "biased", that have developed an industry and a way for many to make a living, solely based upon the "division" of men and women who are married. It's abhorrently ironic and wickedly hypocritical that they call themselves "Family" courts when in truth, the last thing they're concerned with is the best interest of the family and the most they're concerned about is how much money they can suck out of both parties as they watch this often refered to, "Sacred" union of marriage go down in flames! As it's been said many times, if you want to get to the bottom of anything, just follow the money! You don't see or hear too much about countries like Japan or Iceland with these kinds of issues, although they may have some, this isn't at the "core" if their issues and it could be because the men know who they are and where they belong and so do the women and when they become one union, "they" both know what must be done to make it work! Heck, in this country, men seem to be more "effeminized" and women, with their newly found, "Power surge" and the courts backing them up and making the rules as they go along, seem to be on a "Seek and destroy" mission to eliminate any "real" men that they find! I find it interesting that, the first thing many women want to do when they find a "real" man, is to tear him down, yet in that same breath, they turn to their friends and colleagues asking, "Where are all the real men anymore?". Seems that the ones hollering the loudest, never knew any "real" men and wouldn't know how to treat one if they did and the ones who remain silent, have had them and chased them away and are too ashamed to admit it to themselves or even open their mouths about it! Looks to me that you've come "full circle" and can see it for what it is! Women who want to return to the days of "just being women" are priceless, this is one of the reasons why so many men in this country, choose someone from China, the Phillipines or India, because those women haven't forgotten how to be "Women" and proudly that! They're stealing them left and right! Those who really know the score have watched the massive slaughtering of men in this country and choose not to marry at all, i can't blame them! You sound like a "Dr. Laura" woman, keep up the good work, reach "em and teach 'em! You got my vote, BRILLIANT!
