The US government is ready to throw out hardworking educated tax paying immigrants because of a stupid infraction on a form but if you cut grass, don't pay your taxes, or pay health insurance, car insurance, etc. and speak anything but english then the government will bend over backwards to defend the rights that you are not even entitled to.
The doctor should quit his job, get on welfare and start speaking spanish and the US government will be happy to let them stay here.
This is ridiculous.

If you're "sick of the US", why don't you just go away?

Right off the bat-it's the fault of the US Government. You going to pay more taxes to support them? Or maybe let's just wait and see until the facts come out before pronouncing the US wrong.

Don't be fooled by this couple. They lied when they applied for the visa (approval of petition is not visa approval. They were single when their petition was approved but married when they went for the visa, which involves the health screen and interview with the U.S. consul in the Philippines). They knew that if they disclosed their marital status, they would not be granted the interview with the U.S. Consul and the immigrant visa. Don't be fooled, since this isn't fair to those Filipinos who abide by U.S. law in their own native country and wait for even as long as fifteen years despite their knowledge that by the time they reach the U.S., they would not be able to practice their professions due to their reaching retirement age (to let the Servanos stay would not be fair to those law-abiding Filipinos).
