Another speeding moron kills someone. I’m sure the teens weren’t speeding in a Camaro at 2:30AM. No booze or drugs either. And just what kind of parents let a 14 year old out to speed around town at that hour? Bet their morons too.

I would have to say too, why is a 14 yo girl (or boy for that matter) out at 2:30 a.m. riding in a car too.

Terrible tragedy that could have been avoided if she were home tucked in bed by 11 like she should have been.

what is a 14 year-old doing out at 2:30 in the morning? When will people figure out nothing good happens that late? C'mon people wake-up, or should I say, go to sleep.

Don't penalize all of the teenagers because some teenager and their parents failed us all.

There are already way to many restrictions on teenage drivers and not enough support.

The example set by imbeciles such as these become the example that keeps the remainder of us safe.

Support and teching do more good than the punitive and prohibition.

If you want the carnage to stop teach every new driver to operate their vehicle responsibily.

P.S.- Stop handing brand new cars and hot rods to new drivers mom and dad. Your kid will live longer.

The story doesn't say much at all, except they BELIEVE they ere all teens and so far one is dead. Maybe he/she was on her way home from a family occasion.....This is another tragic accident which makes me fear my kids driving....My eldest at 17 and out of school has a 12:00 curfew. All kids must be home before we sleep. I alway spray them home safely....God help the people in these cars....
Bless you young one

I'm sure you all forgot what it was like to be a teenager. I remember 30 years ago driving around up and down the hills on Adirondack, was it dangerous? YES. Did we understand how dangerous at that age? NO. Did we have a great time? YES. God Bless this young teen, I'm sure she had a good heart and didn't plan to die last night.

Hey, don't blame the parents, they're just trying to be cool, letting their "CHILDREN" out at 2:30am!!!

O, you're gonna here the shat about this today, don't blame the parents, don't blame the kids, let's blame the farking road, or road sign, or the farking painted lines in the road!
Everytime I see this kind of story, I thank my lucky stars my father was so strict with me. I'M STILL ALIVE.

You are so Right! When are the PARENTS going to step up and do the right thing in protecting their children? How many more young lives need to be lost? STOP BEING FRIENDS with your kids! STOP BEING THE COOL MOMS AND DADS! Your kids just might live long enough to Thank You!!

There was an unconfirmed report that the fatality was a 14-year-old girl. But a Suffolk County Police spokesman would only say that the investigation "was ongoing."

A Selden Fire Department spokesman also confirmed the fatality, but said he could not confirm the age of the victim.

Even if the victim was 14 there could of been at least a dozen logical explanations why she was out at 2:30 am. Maybe she had an argument or could not sleep at a sleep over, maybe she was a run-away that was just found, maybe she disobeyed her curfew and was just found, ect......
Should we really be knocking the parents before knowing all the details?

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
