SELDEN: Girl says she was 12 when molested

Where were the parents of these young girls? I would never let my daughters stay at a neighborhood man's house over night!

The parents should be held responsible as well....my 12 year old daughter sleeping over an old mans house...I dont think so. What is wrong with parents??

there is absolutely no reason for an adult male to have little girls having sleepovers at his house. This man wasn't actually a relative and I would have never allowed this.

Well maybe He came off as a very nice man, and The girls parents didnt know there weren't a other Adult in the house @ the time!

maybe they thought he was a good guy and trusted him one of the girls it was her grand father why should they they think it was bad

It doesn't take a sleepover for this sort of thing to happen - my parents thoroughly trusted an elderly neighbor couple when I was growing up, and that man molested basically every girl on the block...including me. Parents are not perfect. Molesters pass themselves off as trustworthy people who parents can easily leave their kids with for a little while. My abuse went on for years, and my parents never knew 'til they were going to invite him to my wedding. That was when I finally had the nerve to tell them. Unfortunately, it was then too late to legally do anything to the guy. Children are shamed into thinking things like their parents will not believe them.

seee you understand if you were not in the sitution they dont understand other people dont know what there talking about so maybe they could keep thought to themselfes

Not all parents do believe their kids, even if they tell... and there are some who do believe but simply do not care. The world is littered with kids who women sacrifice for the men they say they love(it really has nothing to do with love)... its disgusting.

I am really sorry for these children and their families but at least in this case these kids weren't abused by a parent and these kids know their parents love them.

It's very strange that the parents would allow these kids to stay over night at this mans house. What were they thinking??????

you dont know the whole story bud. Like someone said it does not even have to be a sleep over in his mind it happened anytime but he liked the scary movies so the girls would be scared?????? you better get facts straight before you say anything. You dont know what that devil did to those pooor girls. he is the devil. He better get his when it is over. If his family dont relize what the devil did to those girls after listening to closing argument there is some thing wrong with them. remermber this is not first time for his second time around.
