Lesser charge in animal-cruelty case
A felony animal-cruelty charge against Christine Abrams, the 29-year-old Cocoa woman who moved away and left her dog to die, was reduced Friday to a misdemeanor, court documents show.

I'm guessing she was too d### lazy to try and find the dog a new home or to take her to the animal shelter. She may very well have been euthanized there but at least she wouldn't have been suffering for 2 months. This woman ought to be locked in a cage for 2 months without food and water as a punishment; then she'd know how the poor dog felt as she was slowly dying.

What changed is that idiocy took a break,,,, animals are not equal to people,,, they are still property regardless of what you mentally challenged ARAs think. Sure she deserves to be punished but not with a felony. Animals have the right to garlic and butter. |

I'd love to know why the charges were reduced. Wasn't leaving a poor animal in a cage, with no water or food, in the heat, cruel enough?

What is wrong with people? Don't have an animal if you can't\won't take care of it. Why didn't she take it to a shelter? At least the poor creature would have had half a chance instead of no chance at all. How cruel.

Someone should put her in a cage without food or water for two months. Misdemeanor..what a crock. I know at least ten people who would have taken the dog, myself included, if the bitch had only tried to find another home for the poor dog. If I lived in Cocoa I put a sign MURDERER on her front door.

What a damn shame that this scumbag will get off scott free after what she did to that beautiful dog, YOU KNOW THE ONE THAT SHE SO LOVED! The Humane Society was just a short distance away, she could have taken the poor dog there, but evidently she just couldn't be bothered. I hope that somehow, some way, the same thing happens to her. I hope she slowly starves to death and not one person will give a crap and give her any aid.

These folks won't let idiots like you help PETA stop all these wholesome activities no matter how hard they try. As for me, I am just finishing up some work and heading out to do some property management,, see if I can whack some racoons and armadillos so that the rabies season may not be so bad,, and the gopher tortoise eggs have a little better chance of hatching. Have fun wishing death on a human over an animal. I won't bother you twits again today. |
