See folks, it doesn't take 130,000 troops and 500 billion dollars to do good police work and capture the terrorist. In addition, police don't create terrorists by capturing them. Whereas, when military kills it never makes as good a conviction as the police do in a court of law. Thus, military killings make it likely that more terrorist will arise to avenge the injustice.

Hey yeah that's right. Well at least this one is revealing a lot of information. Now the Iraqi security forces and coalition forces will bring in all those criminals and child killers.

The turning point in the global war agianst terrorism is materializing at last, in a place barely known to many people.

For over twenty years, the government of Sri Lanka has been struggling against the global tamil-terrorist group known as the tamil-tigers (LTTE). For many years, effective terrorist propaganda was instrumental in making their murderous cause and modus operandi which includes children and pregnant women suicide bombers, a legitimate and even populist event.

Today, after closer examination, the horrific truth is before the civilized world. As a result, the LTTE is banned in the US, UK, Canada, EU and a host of other nations.

In mid 2006, the LTTE began their 'final war'. A war of intense ferocity faught with the sole objective of ethnic cleansing large areas of Sri Lanka, of all other ethnic groups for the purpose of establishing an ethnic pure fatherland governed by their leader, who claims to be God incarnate.

To their lasting misery, the LTTE under-estimated the larger world's commitment to eradicating terrorism once and for all.

Today that goal is gradually being achieved, as Sri Lankan Defence Forces have become greatly successful in containing and decimating the terror group.

Hopefully, what has started happening in Sri Lanka will sweep across the world, and soon bring a victory for good over the greatest evil known to man that is today's terrorism.

Excellent, truly good news. But unfortunately not likely to dramatically affect the level of violence in a long term capacity despite the good work of those involved.

Robert Pape discovered some interesting things such as Islamic fundamentalism, indeed religion, is NOT the common theme in suicide terrorism. In fact the most commonly suiciding terrorist group, the group that invented the suicide vest, is a secular group - the Tamil Tigers. Catch that: no religion, politics is their driving motivation.

The common theme in 95% of ALL suicide terrorist attacks is presence of military in what the terrorist considers its homeland - military of a democratic nation at that. Robert Pape goes on to outline the violence in Iraq will only escalate while American troops (perhaps any troops but most certainly American troops) are in Iraq. He finished this study and made these predictions in 2004 - we'd do well to think how much the last 2 years have proved him correct.

I strongly believe Australia, the UK and the US should foot the bill for repairing Iraq since we are the prime drivers of it being the god awful shitfight we see today but Robert Pape outlines a much better way of doing so than is currently being done (much as I would like to disagree with some of his proposals)

Um, I think you need to turn up your sarcasm, otherwise someone might think you honestly believed this. Your son started showing 'terrorist' signs at 10? I hope to Ford you're joking because that's truly disturbing - your classing a 10 yr old's behaviour as 'terrorist' as opposed to, say 'a kid' or even 'a kid who needs a bit more education as to why hitting isn't right'.

It's also kinda worrying you say circumcision is an Islamic thing seeing as it was Jewish a VERY long time before there was any such thing as Islam. Can't say I've ever noticed a part of my brain missing or an inclination to strap on a bomb and go blow up a bunch of people...
