A preventable tragedy. He did not drown because he was a ward of the state, a runaway, or a teen father born to a drug addicted mother. He drowned swimming at a popular swimming spot that for some unexplicable reason, the city stopped guarding two years ago. Put the lifeguards back.

Shaun King was my foster brother at a point in time and i'm really sorry to hear what has happened to him. I wish his family the best and pray things get better within time.
