We played basketball against them years ago, and that place gave me the creeps. A very strange place!

It is now called Mt. Zion and it's a youth ministry. A friend of mine attends church there so I guess it's not what it used to be. Unless you are a current member it's impossible to trespass with all of the security cameras. It creeps me out every day, but I live on Morris School Rd, so I have to pass by it on my way into town.

I've heard numerous stories of cult worship in the woods around the area and strange chants in the building where some one had broke down and went to ask for help

I don't know about that, but they keep to their own so whatever goes on in there is probably always gonna remain a secret. I always found it strange that they have their own cemetery. Apparently the priests that used to preach there are buried in it. I've only been back there once and I can honestly say it scared me, and I won't go back.

I was riding fourwheelers with a buddy and saw the place for the first time. I had always heard about it. This was about 2 years ago but we walked around the school. There was a mobile home right next to it. Pretty creepy. But we went inside the gym and it was realllll creepy. Cant believe i went in there now looking back. Def. Wouldn't go in there again. There was one room with all the equipment still in there. Computers, basketballs tennis balls rackets tons of stuff that could easily be stolen. Doors were all unlocked.

Yeah, they leave this rusted, metal door open all night! I find that odd, and I can't explain why they would. Now, there are a bunch of mobile homes or RVs on the place. They drive white vans with dark tinted windows and they definitely don't want to be bothered. They also leave all of the lights on in the school every night. I hate driving past it on my way home, especially if it's late. I'm always worried my car will break down right in front of it. I would rather walk to my house from there than to disturb them!

The cemetery did not go with the school it belonged and still belongs to the catholic church which used to run Morris school when it was Morris school. The people there now are not associated with the catholic church in any way.

At that point I think it was still
Morris school if so there were only a few brothers left living on the grounds who were all elderly and could only do so much, they may have locked the door and someone broke in with them not knowing yet.

If it is haunted it has been for many many years, the ground.s were once known as Armstrong springs, had water that was said to have healing powers. There was a hotel I know fore-sure near where the small pond is on the grounds plus more. The catholic church later opened an all boys school in like 1921. Morris school even after being closed to students remained in possession of the catholic church till 2000 when it was sold to Johnny Brock who bought it mainly for the land. He made a deal with the mt Zion people from center hill
To give them the school part when he took the land near the cemetery and the pond near by. The cemetery stayed in possession of the catholic church. I know I didnt tell u if it was haunted but there is the history well some of it.

No problem I'm actually shocked the wc historical society doesn't have much about it. They have a letter from one of the brothers from when the school was closed and a picture of the hotel at armstrong springs and that is it.
