Not sure. After I turn it on, what ever program I'm in, it will say it is not responding. I will have to just turn it off and reboot. Then it does it all over again.

Yup what program?... And when it asks that... Try to just end it and try a different one to see if it's just one program or all programs

Once it's working I'd go to the FBI site an run that scan on it fir the bogus malware from the hackers "anonymous" did that after a certain date.. Don't remember when!... But after that date a server will be down and like what? 50 million comps will not be able to connect to the net... Don't member the exact figures.... It's a bunch though

Since you're on the subject of computer repair I'd like to know of a place also.
My laptop has been having its moments where it will be plugged in but running off battery. Usually I could unplug and plug it back or jiggle the cord a little and it's be fine. Two days ago it would NOT charge. It ran straight off battery. I removed the battery with it plugged in...it wouldn't work. I made sure everything was plugged in tight with the power cord of course too (this was my first step in troubleshooting lol). Anyway so I ordered a new power cord which is in the mail now. If the new cord does not work I assume my issue is then in the computer adapter portion I guess?? Who is my best bet for this? Will it cost an arm and leg? I have had this laptop for 3-4 years but it still works great. Just the power issue!!

If you think your computer is infected with DNS Changer or any other malware, please refer to the security guides from your operating system or the self -help references from our fix page ( http://www.dcwg.org/fix ).

The most popular questions I receive surrounds the fact that people want to know why in the world this happens? There are several reasons for this annoying entity.
First, as you add and remove programs, your system files become scattered throughout your hard drive. This term is called,“fragmented”. Sometimes running your disk defragmenter utility will fix the problem but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t.
Another reason for this is your PC could be infected with melicious SpyWare or AdWare. These tiny programs which run in the background of your PC monitor your every move and slow your computer down to a crawl.
Unfortuneatly one of the symptoms from these programs is receiving the dreaded “Program Not responding” error message.
recommendation? Download "XoftspySE" http://www.pcaholic.com/software-reviews/xoft... and run a thorough scan. XoftspySE will find and destroy these programs in 2 minutes flat!
If you go and have it fix, that's what there going to do, after giving you a bill for $85.00 for running diagnostic! then charge you again to fix it....lol

Yup if not cord ... Then gonna be the Charger port...it has some solder wires to the mother board ... The wiggleing prolly loosed it even more...more likely it's a loose port wire... Unless ur charger
wire has cracks or breaks in it.... It's a simple repair you should be able to get step by step direction off you tube...it being that old its already outta warranty so no need to worrying about voiding it...to see if ur up to the task just watch the video and see if it's something you can do urself... Save that money!! Lol.... It really is a sole fix
