Seaford pair charged with skipping out on hotel bills

A Seaford couple has been arrested and charged with staying three nights in two Williamsburg bed and breakfasts, running up a total of nearly $700 in hotel bills, then skipping out on the checks.

The question I have that article doesn't answer, is obv the cc they had to hold the room was bogus or they would have just ran the card, right? I own an inn and I am certain that those two inns require a credit card to hold the room and then must run the card at check out, vs check in. I am glad they caught them. What happens now, will the owners of the B&B's get their money?

Um, excuse me...But I manage a hotel and why wasn't the credit card authorized? Those business' deserve to be slept on if they don't do their part to protect their business... I don't get why the couple were arrested. It's the hotel's fault. If someone tries to check into my hotel, they don't get keys until I see that their card is approved...
