A 46-year-old New York man who's a member of an activist group against circumcision likens the routine practice to female genital mutilation.

Anthony Losquadro of Sea Cliff recently contacted the pediatrician who circumcised him in 1965 and accused the doctor of coercing his parents to approve the procedure.

He tells the New York Post that it's his body and he should have had a choice as to what was done.

Losquadro leads a non-profit group to get his message out online and through an ad campaign.

About half of babies born in the United States are circumcised. In general, Jewish boys are ritually circumcised when they are a week old.

If a grown man is attempting to contact an elderly doctor who performed a legal and customary procedure, that is someone who would be better off seeing out a psychologist or psychiatrist. Whatever problems he has in life were not caused by the absence of the foreskin. It is time for people who obsess about these things to think about something other than their genitals.

a simple-minded man looking for his 15 minutes in the spotlight with idiotic comments and actions like these...regions in the world are benefitting by doctors teaching them how to perform circumcision on their males to decrease sexually transmitted (and potentially deadly) diseases...

Word has it that Mr. Losquadro has a million dollar lawsuit against the Village because he got a ticket. Apparently he locks his dog out of the house all day and night and the poor creature cries nonstop. This guy is a whacko!

That is real disturbing. Where did this guy Losquadro come from, he claims to be a 20 year resident but nobody knows him. I think he is a terrorist.

Anthony Losquardo, a 20-year Sea Cliff resident, can feel assured that he hit a sore spot by sending a postcard that got more than 100 taxpayers to a public hearing pertaining to this year's forthcoming budget. The turnout likely has turned out to be a Godsend for village property owners, that of keeping a state-ordered 2% tax cap in place rather than overriding it as Sea Cliff sought to do.

Somebody within or close to the village administration is obviously unhappy with that scenario. Because there are six 'comments' by the same person above, all written within one hour on Thursday, Jan. 19, chastising and insulting Losquardo like he was Public Enemy No. 1. Which he probably is around Village Hall about now.

Luckily for him and us, Losquadro seems to be a man of conviction who stands by his act of generosity (he paid for a villagewide postcard mailing at the cost of $750) and good citizenship in alerting fellow property owners about a possible costly move by the village mayor and trustees.

In the sixth and final comment, the anonymous critic called Losquardo 'a terrorist.' That is outlandish, of course, because he is being considered like a hero to the rest of us in Sea Cliff.

Speak frr yourself you yutz. There is a very sound reason why the Village may have to increase our taxes. Due to the overwhelming burdon of paying into the state penison system for the employees of the village the board may be faced with an increase. Have you looked at the budget? Have you done the math? And by the way douche.. you are not even a property owner in this town and have not been for many, many years. yes you rent and your rent helps the property owner pay the taxes but the only thing that is going to do is raise your RENT which, unlike the rest of us does not come with the other responsibilites of homeownership. The list of costs associated with being a homeowner on top of property taxes far exceed those of a renter. So, while you sit back stuff your face and drink yourself into a stupor we PROPERTY OWNERS are the ones who shoulder the burdon of any tax increase. Stop jumping on bandwagons that are popular at the time. Some people think that the tax increases are necessary and some dont. Dont, for a second think that Losquadro will miss the opportunity to try to run for mayor. Perhaps his party slogan should be "i will no cut anything.

Hmmm, thank you for sharing your idea. Anthony Losquadro for Mayor? It does have a curious ring to it, don't you think? But we're getting away ahead of ourselves. A mayoral election does not come up again until 2013 as in 2/13/13. Of course, a trusteeship would necessarily come first. Actually, Peter Hayes' seat affords an opening since he obviously has been unable to attend weekly village board meetings and conferences because of his job. I think we're onto something, Cowreckion.

Losquirto is NOT a 20-year resident. Search of public property records show he has only been here for 5 years. Police have announced that he is officially a suspect of the recent graffiti in the Village.

With all the good causes out there (Mutual Concerns, GVA, The American Cancer Society, etc.) he chooses to spend his money to divide a community. It seems the Losquirto is a bad seed. Possibly the spawn of Fat Joe and Booty Rob. Time will tell!

You are a sicko loser, Carmine, but that won't excuse you from being charged with libel and slander for accusing Anthony Losquadro of doing graffiti in the village. How preposterous.
How dare you try and muddy a man's reputation like that. Police have tabbed teenagers as the perps.

'He chooses to divide a community?' You must be referring to Mr. Losquadro's good deed and good citizenship for alerting fellow Sea Cliff property owners about how the village administration was going to write its own ticket on property taxes by overriding the state's 2% tax cap. Well, more than 100 homeowners showed up at the Jan. 9 hearing to put the squeeze on the mayor and trustees to change their mind.

Here's to you, Neil Cavuto, for having the guts to put your name (IF it's true) to what you feel. Only trouble is, what you say could land you in a lawsuit for slander and libel. You can't sully a man's good name and reputation like that without cause. An anti-semite? All in your warped mind and those of your colleagues. Something to shock our community with, huh? Something so outlandish that it's difficult not to believe the charges. It is you who is 'dividing the community'. You're despicable.

Mr, Krupinski, think about it. Losquadro shows up out of nowhere, lies about his length of residency, does an interview with the Daily News bashing a 4,000 year jewish ritual (which is actually healthy procedure).

I know you tend to be a friend of the friendless, but you really should watch yoursels here. I think Losquadro is a bad egg. Ask your friend Mr. Lawrence about him, rumor has it that he wants Lawrence fired for simply doing his job.

Joe what little credibility you have left (if there is any) is about to go up in smoke. This guy Losquadro is about to go down like the Hindenberg - do you really want to be attached to that?

Thanks for the heads up, Neil, but I hate to see someone accused of grafitti when it was the work of teenagers. That is awful.

The fact that he alerted the community about the 2% tax cap override the village planned was good citizenship.

Don't know about your charge that he has lived here only five years instead of 20. Does it really matter?

More than a tiff with Drew Lawrence, I'm afraid. Anthony Losquadro, as I hear it, is suing the village for giving itself the right to 'trespass' on someone's property without permission. Same thing by the same large and respected law firm is going on in Town of Hempstead. So we only have the tip of the iceberg thus far.

First off, the police originally suspected teenagers; but no arrests have occurred. The investigation continues and Losquadro is a viable suspect.

The Village alerted every resident as prescribed by law and procedure about the public hearing. Nothing underhanded occurred and the publics "permission" is not required. More than half the residents in attendance were in favor of lifting the 2% cap. Even those not in favor of lifting the cap stated that the Board had done a great job with past budgets and had earned the residents trust, so where is the controversy? It is important to point out Joe that you missed 3/4 of the hearing!

And yes itdoes matter how long Losquadro has lived in SC, it goes to credibility. To lie about something so basic, as he did, shows that he is prone to misinformation. He has another motive and has proven that he can not be trusted. A lie is a lie - and he lied from the beginning by saying he is a 20-year resident.

If Mr. Losquadro is suing the Village because Mr. Lawrence simply did his job of enforcing the law then once again Losquadro is a jerk. Such action simply causes legal costs to go up and that cause taxes to go up! What exactly was this "illegal search"? Mr. Lawrence looked into his backyard as the result of a complaint fron a neighbor? That constitutes "trespassing"?

Tip of the iceberg...tip of his penis...whatever

Another viable graffiti suspect is Joe the Barber, don't you think?

The hearing audience was way in favor of keeping the 2% tax cap.

I WAS THERE for the whole hearing, sitting behind you, pal.

Village needs to do more than the bare minimum in alerting the public to such an important tax matter. Anthony Losquadro did us a service with his postcard, something the village should have sent out.

What if Losquadro rented for 15 years before buying his current house five years ago? Ever think of that? Thought not.

Again, by challenging the village on its code for allowing 'trespassing' by the building inspector, Losquadro is doing fellow residents a service.

Sounds like Mr. Losquadro is hitting a 'raw nerve', Bad News, what with all the above comments trying to put him down. What he did with his postcard caused a subsequent lowering of property tax to 1.85% by our elected officials. Nothing wrong and everything right with that, I would say. Most of those 100 residents who attended the tax hearing Jan. 9 objected or questioned the lifting of the cap by our mayor and trustees. This effectively caught them with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar. NOt that they were doing something wrong, but they were trying to give themselves a cushion in preparing the budget. Mr. Losquadro saved Sea Cliff's property owners that extra cost. NOthing wrong with that.
