Read the story again. Your answer is there. But, for the sake of a discussion, what is she had been? Is this an acceptable response? To lay in wait, to premeditate two murders? In front of your daughter? I don't think so. There were other courses of action a person could have taken. It is NOT justifiable homicide... his life was NOT in danger. Too bad Iowa does not have a death penalty...

The deal was she was cheating and sent him divource papers, he went out and got drunk. He found out where her "lover" lived and went there. He shot him to death slowly, A few times in the stomach and Once or twice in the chest. The daughter was there and I guess she tried grabbing the gun. He took the end of it and beat her then shot her mom. People say she sat there holding her mom.:-( Poor Girl. From what I hear she's in Maine right now living with her Moms parents. She's doing Okay Last I heard.

You peolple think you know it all and this is how rumors get started. She was a very close and dear friend of mine. He was abusive she tryed to leave him twice before and he always threatened to hurt her and kill her if she left. She filed for divorce and moved out months before this happened she DID NOT and WAS NOT cheating on him the marriage was over. As far as the "girl" was concerned she came out alive because he ran out of bullets, she ran for help when he ran out. for what this man put her through in the past few years I dont think that he was punished enough for the crime he committed and i wish that Iowa did have the death penalty but he can rot in prison for the rest of his life and think about what he has done and I hope that it tares him up for the rest of his life.........

My family has been good friends with the Johnsons since i was a young kid, i was great friend with their son until we moved a few years ago....it keeps me up at night thinking that these people i knew and loved will never be the same

every once in i while i will go to the appartment and neal in front of the door and pray that jessica is some way put this behind her and live for ther most part a normal life i lived 2 blocks away
