might as well be, would generate money for the community and then everyone wouldn't have to go to BG. If u r going to drink then why not be able to help the comunity by taxes so our community can benefit from it.

I vote yes, why help Bowling Green grow. Everybody goes over there to buy liquor and acts like they don't drink.

I'd vote no. Don't get me wrong, I like the occasional glass of wine over dinner, but could you imagine how idiotic the people around here would get if we were wet.

I honestly don't think it would help anyone here in Scottsville other than the fact the police wouldn't honestly have to pull people over for bullshit to see if they are messed up. Glasgow has the same deal where you can go out to eat, its served at restaurant, but you can't buy it at a convenience store. Soooo, without cab service, it would mean someone would have to drive home unless they make the responsible choice to have a sober driver. Tough call....it would just bring more revenue in with the fines and costs here...but ultimately, I believe all the BillyBobJoeFred's would be at it with all the cheating and lies here and it would erupt into some major issues and violence.

We all should vote NO to this our community is in enough hurt as it is, yes we could use the money but, think about the rise in abuse, cheating, drunk drivers to kill our innosent children. think about the easier access for our kids to drink. I believe our children come first adults can go to the line or Bowling Green to get the nasty stuff. I don't drink a lot of my family does, i have to take them to go get it. i had rather take the drive as to have a beer joint or a strip joint in my back yard. Leave the alcohol in another county where it belongs and away from us.
GOD is coming back soon and we need to be thinking more about that than to be thinking about the devilish things and ways. So please make the right decission on this and keep away from our community.

To me it really doesn't make a difference either they are going to get alcohol anyways the county should make some money off of it. The whole argument about making it easier for kids to get it is a load it wouldn't make any easier then it already is for them to get it. Plus it does make it easier to catch the drinkers all the police have to do is patrol the areas where it is sold and not a bunch of drunks on the backroads getting into accidents.

The only reason I would vote yes is because this town has nothing to do but go eat and a limited choice at that. At least if it were wet there would be some social things to go and do in Scottsville. I love to play pool and throw darts and dance and it would be great to to it here in town rather then go to BG. It would be great to meet more people and have some fun.

I believe you have a valid point and are entitled to your opinion but I'd like to maybe get you to see things from a different point of view if I may. First you stated that there would be a rise in abuse, cheating and drunk drivers in our community. I disagree with you there. The abuse is already there along with the cheating. Alcohol doesn't cause those things. Driving while intoxicated may go up but not by much. In Allen County alone this year there were over 200 arrests for DUI and an estimate of eight times that that didn't get caught.
Second, the easier access to get alcohol by under aged people is not true. The establishments would be by the drink only and under aged persons wouldn't be able to purchase but, on the comment you made, when have you ever known it to be difficult for anyone to get anything they want here in Allen County? Especially by a determined kid with a cell phone!
I respect your opinion and how you feel about alcohol and I really am not disrespecting your opinion on it but, all I'm saying is that it could help this county with the revenue it would generate. Alcohol is not unlike other things in that it is up to the person to govern themselves when using it. If they can't then all that is is a lack of self regulation. I drink an occasional drink at home and know several that do the same thing. I'd rather my money stay here instead of going to the schools or police/fire departments of another county when we need it right here.

Daily Horoscope for December 1

Leo

Many of you will be in the public eye early on as the Moon lights up your tenth house of reputation. Be sure to be on your best behavior! It may be hard to focus on your work, but this is not the time to fall down on the job. Avoid office gossip and discipline yourself so that when bonuses are handed out, your diligence will be remembered. Things brighten up later in the day when the Moon enters Gemini. It's a fortunate phase!
