What right do they have, not contacting parents to let them know that our kids coudn't even wash their hands, use the rest room, or drink. And what right do they have putting OUR CHILDREN on a bus taking them to ANOTHER school (only once let me remind you, our CHILDREN were ONLY able to go to the rest room ONE time during a 7 hour period, and I personaly know of some children who didn't get to go AT ALL all day long) they are suppose to have OUR WRITTEN permission before cattering our children off of SCHOOL PROPERTY!! WHY are schools not SHUT DOWN until RUNNING WATER is available with all the GERMS that are going around!!! It is to my understanding that schools ARE SUPPOSE to be shut down durring incedents like this... No running water = No School!!!! Does any other PARENTS out there agree??? How CLEAN was our kids lunch? How did the cafaterea works WASH their hands BEFORE preparing and serving out CHILDRENS FOODS!! There is soooo many germs out their floating around right now as it is...

I totally agree with you on this subject!! I can't believe that they wouldn't shut schools down. That is crazy!!! With the flu's that are going around right now and you're right, how the hell did the cafeteria workers wash their hands? I would call the school superintendent and speak with them over the matter. I don't personally have any children in or out of school, but I have a younger sister and cousin both in JEBMS and I had no Idea about this situation or I personally would have called the school system myself. It is also BS that they didn't inform parents about taking children off of school property!! The school system should have been more responsible than that, if they had an accident they would have been looking at a HEFTY lawsuit.

My step daughter informed us yesterday that she was bussed to white plains to use the restroom, they never informed us of anything much less get our permission to load her on a bus to transport to white plains, I called today but was given the run around, but I will say this if they still have no water tomorrow she will be kept home.
They act as if they care but really all they care about is the money that is paid per day from the State and Fed.

I am wondering why teachers are going out and ordering food for them and thier kids? makes me wonder if its safe for our children to eat there! I pray to God my child doesnt come home and tell me anything crazy because i will be at school tomorrow wanting some answers.I totally think a letter should be sent home so parents would have a choice of rather to send thier child or not! There is alot of families who has spent enough time in the doc. offices lately. So the schools need to stop acting as if they are in controll!!!! We all know they are not.

It is a critical health code violation. If it is just a resturaunt, it has to be fixed immediately, and no they should not be allowed to have school in session. With school being shut down for a week due to illness, you would think you wouldn't add insult to injury. Is this happening at the middle school?

You are exactly right. They have gotten so strict with the attendance policy and all, not because of the fact children not in attendance are missing out on getting and education,(as is should be) but because of the fact the state misses out on that mighty dollar! Also what's with the deal of having a contract with the health department, so they can now charge for administering medications to our children. Everything is all about money anymore. What's the world to do when the mighty dollar comes crashing down?

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
