They should give the polar bears some Viagra. All endangered species should be given Viagra from tick flies up. That would solve the problem and all the save the tick flies nuts would still not be satisfied. The Endangered Species Act trumps the 5th Amendment if you didn't know. More unauthorized power to our crooked government. Vote them all out next election.

As someone who lived in the North Slope of Alaska...ANWR should be open to drilling. The environment and wildlife in that area will be impacted very little due to the vast size of Alaska and the surrounding untouched land...Remember its a state with only 500,000-600,000 people in a state almost a third of the lower 48...unfortunately for us all its become as bipartisan an issue as the right to life...As a democrat I say wake up and let Alaskan's determine what should be drilled...You will find no better environmentalist than an Alaskan! After opening ANWR you complete the natural gas pipeline and get Americans to use domestic oil and gas...CNG kits are easily installed on vehicles with no loss in power and cost about a buck a gallon...

I jsut spent 2 weeks in Alaska for work, and people that live there laugh at the idea the drilling in ANWR area wouls hurt ANY wildlife...

IT WOULDN'T..........

It's beyond me why the tree-hugging dummycrats continue to use this BS to keep the price of our oil and gas at a high level..

Probably to support the CHAAAAAANGE,, mantra.......

Typical illogical double standard..

Ah, Dud. We're an Arctic Biologist this week, are we? Previously a teacher, airplane worker, health care specialist ....

This list of things about which you know EVERYTHING (except spelling, of course) goes ON AND ON.

You're right about one thing, though. Just one. Us Democrats want you to CHANGE. Start with your citizenship. It's not too late to go to Putin's New Worker's Paradise. You'd fit right in there in Moscow, telling everyone what to do.

Readers, stay tuned to this space, as we see what ol' Dudbert will turn into, NEXT week....

In Typical DUMMYcrat fashion, you make up the truth to your own fantasy and to suit your delusional needs.

But feel free to keep making things up about me claiming to be things that I never claimed,, it shows your true libtard roots..

Right! If we could get these treehugging dummycrats to spend a couple weeks in Alaska then maybe we can get them to stop the SLANTinel from printing it's propaganda about hurting wildlife...IT WOULDN'T...
And it's beyond me why these treehugging dummycrats keep the price of oil and gas at a high level since they control it and the SLANTinel keeps printing this propagandized BS about supporting CHAAAAAANGE in their typical illogical double standard way.

Right! These dummycrats, in their typical DUMMYcrat fashion, make up the truth to fit their own fantasy and to suit their own delusional needs and won't stop the SLANTinel from printing this propaganda that people are not what they say they are and maybe if we could get these darn dummycrats to reveal their libtard roots and reveal the SLANTinel's BS propaganda then maybe we can stop these dummycrats from being responsible for everything and pubic_Savannah can go travel the rest of the world and teach us all about those typical dummycrats and how the SLANTinel propagandizes.

Ahhh, if you believe drilling in the artic will lower gas prices, than hey buddy, come fill up at my gas station. i'll sell you gas for a penny per $10 gallons. Of course other requirements and fees may be assessed at the time of filling up your tank. I'm just amazed at how gullible the people in this country are because the president is pushing snake oil and people think its free beer!

The cost of gas is in correlation with our lack of foreign affairs...dependency is why we should drill and build the natural gas pipeline...many Alaskans use compressed natural gas in their vehicles and pay a buck a gallon...there's natural gas throughout our country that should be used with a CNG kit conversion to your car..If Israel bombs Iran we will be paying $10 a gallon...So drilling to lower your dependency not pricing!! And P Bear North Pole is too far south to be considered the Artic...lol...Try Barrow or Point Lay in the winter...And don't sourdoughs call them browns not grizzlies???

Those Polar Bears do poo poo. Thats methane gas. A pollutant to the Ozone. Lets run them over with oil truck tankers.Better yet, lets strap Al Gore in a seat. Then have a Polar Bear sit in his lap for half an hour. After a few projectile emissions, lets see what he he thinks about Polar Bears. The Nit wit.

We can have oil coming out of ANWR and the gulf in 8 months. The reason it takes 10 years is because of all the litigation involved. It takes that long to get through the courts, through the beauracracy, the red tape, through the enviro-whacoks who wanna block any and everything people do.
How about state's rights? Instead of some lunatice rep from nevada or California deciding what to do on the north coast of Alaska, let's let the people of northern Alaska decide!
We need to drill here off our coast too. We can be part of the solution or part of the problem.
As long as we say "not in my backyard", we are part of the problem.

And my hats go off to them!!! Drilling in Alaska.. or anyplace else isn't the answer. Haven't you been paying attention?? IF they drill in Alaska... or off the coast of our beautiful beaches... we won't see that oil for over a decade?? How's that going to help us now?? Besides.. as one poster said.. there's no 'shortage' of oil... demand has gone up 2% overall... prices are another thing... it's greedy Wall Street and speculators driving this.. We need to get 'off oil'.... find a better way to get back and forth to work.... besides the humongous SUV you probably own!!
Who is telling you we won't see that oil from Alaska in a decade? Are those the same people who show pictures of nice mountains with snow covered peaks and a beautiful river running through them? What about the Styrofoam icebergs? The area they want to drill flat and frozen, nothing like what they are showing you. And even if it does take a decade, what if we had drilled a decade ago? Do you want to be in that position when WWIII starts? I guess you probably think Iran will be our friends and will be happy to sell us oil when that day comes.

<quoted text>This is from CNN Money...
Oil is a worldwide market, so domestic production - while helping to keep the U.S. supplied - would do little to influence the price, and estimates on what this added production would do to oil and gasoline prices vary widely.
Arguing in favor of drilling in the refuge, James Cordier, founder of the investment brokerage OptionSellers.com , said oil prices may immediately fall by as much as $30 a barrel.
"It would change the psychology," said Cordier. "It would lead people to believe we're going to start drilling everywhere."
But the government is far less optimistic. it estimates gas prices might fall by a maximum of 3 cents a gallon, and that's only after the many years it would take to bring this new oil to market.
My point being... time to kick the oil habit... it's nasty and a finite resource.... we need to find another means to power our private vehicles.... then Iran. Iraq.. the Saudis.. all can try eating their oil..... we won't need it any longer...

We need to kick the oil addiction.... find a better method of fueling our private transports.... oil is nasty and finite.. so we need to have an alternative.. so Iran, Iraq.Saudi.. all of them can try and eat their oil.. cause there won't be a market for it....

"I'm ticked off at those stupid anti-oil people. Why the heck can't we drill in Alaska? Nobody lives there, and the polar bears are going extinct by their merry selves! We wouldn't have to worry about destroying Florida's tourism economy either! The heck with the environmentalists; I just want affordable gas!"
Oh yes, becaue our tourism dollars are so much more important than the entire species of polar bears.
By the way dummy, people do live in Alaska. There's actually a whole world going on outside of that narrow little brain of yours!
But hey - all's you want is cheaper gas. So we can't really expect you to be concerned for the State of Alaska or any silly animals that may live there.
By the way dummy, the handful of people who live in this remote area, welcome the oil companies. 99.9% of all animals that have roamed this planet are extinct, and this happened before the first we drilled for the first drop of oil.

Actually, no. If you do your research, many companies will buy patents to these renewable resources from the person(s) who created them and then do nothing with it.
If you watch "Who Killed the Electric Car," they talk about how one of the major players to impede the development of this car was a man who invested heavily in Ethanol.
You can find it right next to "Fahrenheit 911" and "The Inconvenient Truth".

Patents don't last forever, that is why we have generic drugs. However, the ones associated with machines that violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics do last forever and there is a good reason for that.

Why do they show us pics of mountains with ice caps and beautiful streams in the grassy valleys on TV? These are pictures of ANWR, but no where near close to the areas they want to drill. Why do they show us pics of Styrofoam ice bergs? Did you even know Al Gore used a picture that had Styrofoam ice bergs? What are they hiding and why do they need to show us fake pictures?
