You are such a dumb women for saying that. what makes you think those girls chose to be lesbians???? They were born that way. why would anyone choose to have to deal with people like you on a day to day basis?????? you're crazy. I hope one of your kids turn out being gay. Maybe you'll learn to be a more open minded person. Mad Momma wrote: What scares me is the people who praise these girls for setting the path for our future generation. Allowing such moral degredation to plague our schools and our society as a whole is simply outrageous. Homosexuality is wrong in every way, shape, and form. I am outraged that my rights to be straight are being violated, and my choice to raise my children in a moralistic and God-fearing family is undermined by those who support the gay movement. It's a shame that I will have to teach my children at home in order to protect them from this poor excuse of a society. May God have mercy on us all.

Besides, stupid can also mean taking things out of context and attacking a person's personal opinions with ludicrious assumptions. I made it perfectly clear that my concerns lie with those who accept things with no questions asked. I admire anyone who can question the difference between right and wrong and stand in the face of adversity. I respect the opinion of every individual, even though some indulge in attacking another's opinion by calling them stupid, as if it would make homosexuality any less wrong. Those girls chose their path. I don't have a problem with that. However, those girls broke through the legal system and made an entire school district accept the path they chose. Was the school not forced to "just accept it?" The difference between living with it and accepting it is we've always lived with it as a part of this world, but accepting it means we take it in as a direct influence in our lives. There is no other place that I can think of in this whole nation, besides the home, of course, that carries more influence than our schools. P.S. I realize some don't believe in God. However, if we came from monkeys, shouldn't we give them props for knowing what goes where? Those girls "chose their path" just like you chose to be straight. There was only one path for me. That's right ONE! I didn't choose it. It was chosen for me. Because homosexuality is not for you doesn't make it wrong. Don't bother spouting out the same old scripture that has been beat into the ground. It is a waste of time. Being ignorant and giving "props" to monkeys for knowing what goes where is your problem. Not mine.

Mad Momma is crazy

You are not only a mad, as in upset, but mad, as in crazy, mother. To spew this sort of hate speech is unacceptable. I'm outraged that you feel this somehow violates your rights. If you want to raise close minded, religious zealot, and bigoted future generations please do so in Saudi Arabia, there you might fit in a tad more. Why do you people insist on tearing apart a person's moral structure just because you don't see things her way? You have accused someone, who merely came forth with a fear that her rights were being violated, of being somewhat of a Nazi. "Mad Momma's" rights are not violated by the fact that fags go to prom. They're violated because judgemental fools come forth and try to convince her that what she was born as is wrong. Isn't that what all gays and gay supporters are trying to get away from. I'm straight, and I'm proud, and I have a God that is against homosexuality. However, my God also says you make your own choices, and when He comes back he will set things in order once and for all. Of all the posts I have read, I think queers have me outnumbered. I'm fine with that, but don't sit and attack someone for showing concern. You claim to be fighting against that. Well, boys and girls, you seem to have given the wrong impression. To be pissed off is a person's right. It by no means is a reflection of who he/she actually is. You "staight bashers" are holding the gun now. Tell me, does it feel good to be in the place of the "gay bashers" from fifty years ago? What have you accomplished except to make straigt people afraid of their own sexuality hide in the closet? Somewhere, somehow, someone is wrong. You don't think it's you, and I don't think it's me. You fight for your rights, and I'll fight for mine. Not all people believe in God, but to those who do keep God's ways, homosexuality is wrong and unacceptable. Now, for the challenge, rather than slamming and demeaning me for my religious preferences, PROVE ME WRONG. I love you all, dearmom

I love you all, dearmom You expect a reasonable response when you make statements like “you people”,“God is against homosexuality”,“queers”,“homos exuality is wrong and unacceptable”? I am not a straight basher and we will never be holding the gun. What does “Tell me, does it feel good to be in the place of the "gay bashers" from fifty years ago?” mean? Gay bashers 50 years ago used the gun… I don’t know a single straight person that is afraid of their own sexuality. God knows they aren’t hiding in the closet. We are fighting for our rights…you already have yours. I also believe in God. Who said gay people don’t? Some don’t. I do. My God is a loving God and has made me this way for a reason.(You got it sister…He made me this way, it’s not a choice!!) You have proven yourself wrong by making the statement “I love you all, dearmom”. If you loved everyone you wouldn’t refer to us as “you people”,“queer”, or say “homosexuality is wrong”. If your God is going to condemn someone for doing what makes them happy and doesn’t hurt anyone else. I don’t want your God because he is wrong and you are following a false idol.

When you read the bible, do you only pick and choose what you want to read, and then decide for yourself whether or not God's right or not? You seem to be doing that when you only respond to the articles that have something against homosexuality. Didn't you even think to understand where a little of my frustration came from. When gays and "straight bashers," are the only people to write in about how stupid and evil I am, I tend to go on the defensive. Your condemnation is "the gun." I gather by your words that your hatred for me at this moment is stronger simply because I used God against you. I never said God didn't love you, but that doesn't mean He has to approve of our ways. Apparently your reasoning keeps you from seeing what is so obvious. Now again, I say, PROVE ME WRONG. You use your god, and I'll use my God. You failed to that in your response.

I must have missed church the day that they told us God actually wrote the bible. Here is some food for thought: "The Bible has been used for centuries by Christians as a weapon of control. To read it literally is to believe in a three-tiered universe, to condone slavery, to treat women as inferior creatures, to believe that sickness is caused by God's punishment and that mental disease and epilepsy are caused by demonic possession. When someone tells me that they believe the Bible is the 'literal and inerrant word of God,' I always ask,'Have you ever read it'?" Bishop John Shelby Spong You can't use God against me. Because he ISN'T. Don't flatter youself with the idea that I hate you. I am indifferent towards you. I won't waste time and energy hating someone that is truly confused. Good luck to you and your picking and choosing. BTW - Tell your slave I said hello and enjoy being an inferior creature.

I have read the bible and I still see God as a kind and very merciful father who loves ALL of His children despite our shortcomings. Slavery was common in biblical days, but the bible plainly states situations in which a slave often sold himself into slavery to pay off a debt, and God set laws to free a man of his debt after seven years. God worked to instill fairness in his people and slavery was nothing like we know it. He was working with a new people in what some may say in "adolescent mode." I also believe it was Jesus who said one man is to be married to one wife, and that he is to treat her as a jewel in his crown. Frankly, I like being treated like a jewel. Furthermore, as far as demon possession and sickness, I tend to focus more on the fact that many were healed through God, despite the terms bible translators stuck on cetain affliction. God has done everything to be with us, despite our neverending task to be against him. He does not hate us, he hates our ways. If you don't take the bible as the "literal word of God" then what is the basis for your faith except to make it up as you go along. You seem to be an intelligent person, but I still can't help thinking that you turn things around in such a way to always make yourself come out smelling like roses. P.S. You flatter me because you keep responding.

Sorry to break your heart but I already have a wonderful woman that makes me happy. I hope you are not crushed that I can not allow you to pursue your lesbian love for me.

Go get a dictionary and look up "flatter." I don't think it means to snag a chick. You are a smart girl, but I thought by now you would have at least given up writing with such hostility. Your hostility and defensive nature lead to believe that you question yourself. If we don't stand for what we believe in with dignity then we just come off looking like a bunch of jerks. Don't think that me giving you a compliment means I'm trying to get into your pants. I enjoy one man very much.
