Why do mothers always get the final say custody issue?

I have watched as my close friend went through a divorce and is still in the middle of custody issue. The man loves his child and is willing to be there when informed. However the mother uses the child to play games with him and his family.She only informs him when she wants money for something. They each spend equal time with the child. She was order to share all information with him on the childs health, education, and so on. She is not being made to do so. I think this is so very wrong. And to use a health issue as a way to try to pick a fight over something that is not even related is also wrong.

I would not be so quick to judge a situation until you get to know "your friend's" habits a little better. You never know a person until you live with him. Yes she may be wrong but usually it takes two to tango.
