I just wanted to comment on how dissappointed it was Trick or Treating this year in Country Club. We go every year and this year was ridiculous! it was like 6 or 6:30 and everyones porch light was off! Thats not fair to the children. I spent like $75 on candy to make sure those little babies had a good experience.

They were probably out of candy by that time. Country Club and Cloverdale subdivisions were the only two areas that I saw alot of trick or treaters. Noone trick or treats in their own neighborhoods any more.

we don't trick or treat in our neighborhoods because no one gives out candy, we drove from our house, down mary st and onto main, we saw 2 houses with porch lights on. even in cloverdale, there weren't very many houses with the lights on.
i would like to thank everyone that does give out candy for keeping this tradition going.
there weren't as many kids out this year either. does everyone go to cape?

maybe everyone should try other areas of scott city, not just country club or cloverdale. i personally buy tons of candy every year and get maybe one or two families total! i try each year thinking it will get better. any my family has the same experiences, we live behind the police station. all of us. just diff houses.

Maybe I'm wrong but when I was small enough to trick or treat, we stayed in our own neighborhood. It is rediculous all the people that bring children out here from all over town and even surrounding towns. Even that is not as bad as the parents that are dressed up and hold out a bag for candy or parents pushing a small baby in a stroller and have a bag for you to put candy in, you know that the baby isn't going to eat that candy. I used to enjoy giving candy to small trick or treaters, no more.

Sorry!!!! I wasn't home, hence light out. If you gave out as much candy that we do in Country Club, you wouldn't stay home either. It is dangerous to trick or treat in CC for all the cars from all over and all the masses of children and adults. Why did you buy so much candy ? if you weren't going to be home to give it out.

If you work until 5:00 on Halloween, you are endangering your life and others by trying to get to your residence due to the vehicles parked on both sides of the street and children darting out between them. People have started parking in the school parking lot, I don't know if they are just being considerate or just can't find a parking space. The parents that drive their children out here evidently don't buy candy or have their lights on at home. Stay in your own neighborhood!

I live in country club. You know what, I deal with your disrespectful kids everyday. Every time I drive through the neighborhood, they are in the middle of the road and dont move. If they do let you by, they give you a smartass look or I have even seen them mouth me when I go by. What a bunch of hoodlums. These are young kids, 7-10 yrs old. Im not talking about the teens, but they are just as bad.

Id rather not give them candy, Id rather give them a love tap with my bumper. Teach your kids some manners and to respect other people, then maybe they will get some candy.

I live in Cape and it was the same here. We were the only ones on our street with a light on. I think it has somehting to do with the economy myself. Candy is $6.00 PER BAG!!! That is just plain ridiculous. It's sad to see our country in such bad shape that people can't even afford to give candy out to children. I also think corporations are taking advantage of the situation and using it as an excuse to shave jobs and drive up prices. Greed knows no boundaries.

I really dont think the economy has anything to do with it. Its more of a matter that neighbors dont come out to socialize and as said before, are disrespectful. You cant trust anyone now days. The only time they do come out is when something is free, then you dont see them until next halloween.

We were on Maple street on the Illmo side. and there were quite a few houses giving out candy. There were people handing out candy in costumes and one guy had a nice setup with a grave yard and fog. Just to let people know that Country club is not the only place in Scott City to trick or treat.

Country Clubs fancy? You really need to get out. There is nothing fancy about Country Club except for the name. The houses are at least over 30 years old. That is just to funny to think you are well off because you are in Country Club. Fantsy? You cant even spell fancy right.

Lets try something new. Next year all the trick or treaters go to the city park and let the people bring their treats and give it to them. This way it will keep the children off the streets and they dont have to beg for it.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing fancy about Country Club, or any other part of Scott City for that matter. The entire town is a crap hole. What do you mean when you say fancy cars? A new Chrysler? LOL.

I have a house in Cape and drive a Hummer, but I will never flaunt it. And I would never brag about living in Scott City for damn sure.
