It amazes me how our supreme leader seems to dislike this country and the youngmen and women who protect this nation. It takes a real leader to go to our hurting troops and console them in the time of need. George Bush went to the army base with his wife to console our troops. I can't say that about the man our left sided nation put into office. I can just hardly wait to see what kind of photo shoot or meeting his handlers will put togeather this week to put on the liberal media outlets cbc nbc abc! i wish Bush was back in office!

Bush anytime. He the lesser of the evils. At least he had feelings for people and not think he is God as the present president does.

Bush & Cheney brought this country to its knees. They are the reason our automotive industry is in shambles. Did you notice how gasoline went from $4.00 per gallon to $1.25 per gallon right before the 2008 election? If you say it was anything other than corruption I'll call you a damn liar.

The Bush administration was the most corrupt in the history of our nation. The only word this administration knew was GREED. Give to the rich and take from the poor was their motto. The only thing on their brain was oil and how to get their hands on every dollar they could steal.

The Bush administration has been out of power for almost a year and people are already forgeting what they done to America. I am not saying Obama is a saint or anything even close to that. I strongly disagree with many of his policies. He is way too liberal. Bush was too conservative. What we need is someone who is center orientied.

Of course, with the mess the Bush administration left in its wake and the mess still being created by some of our current leaders we may not have much of a chance to get this country back on track.

As far as Bush returning for another stint, I don't think so. I had enough of seeing $4.00 gasoline and $700 billion bank bailouts. I had enough of watching them pour billions of dollars into Iraq every month for "rebuilding". Giving no-bid multi-million dollar contracts to corporations who done absolutely nothing to earn it.

If you want someone to blame than blame Bill Clinton. He is the one that made the open trade or making the world Global. It gave all of are jobs to China. When you take the jobs away than we lose are economy. We need to stop free trade and buy American. Bring the jobs back. I dont know why everyone blames Bush, when we where attacked by terrorist on the twin towers every american supported the war on Iraq, when he seen it wasnt possible to pull the troops than everyone blames Bush for staying there and wasting money. If I remember right Obama said when he gets in office that he would bring the troops home and stop the war. He isnt sending them home or stopping the war but is sending more troops as we speak. Why dont you Dem complain about that. If obama has messed things up this bad for our country in this short of time than everybody needs to pray because he has 3+ years to go and we are in trouble

First off, I am not a liberal. Secondly, I am not playing a blame game. Yes, Clinton did do lots of things that hurt our economy. I am not arguing that point. I simply said that the Bush administration was very corrupt. And he used 9/11 as an excuse to attack Iraq. It was all about oil and it still is to this day. You should take off the blinders and do a little research. That's the problem with many Republicans these days, they do not have the ability to admit when they are wrong.

Once again, I am not a left winger. I just chose to look at the hand writing on the wall instead of turning my head. No, Obama wasn't my first choice as president. Heck, he wasn't even in the running. If you would have actually read my previous posts you would know I am an Independent. I think the last election was terrible. We had two horrible choices to pick from. I liked John McCain, but I hated Sarah Palin. So, he didn't get my vote.

I have done extensive research into the Bush administration and the tactics they employed to reach their goals. Oil and money were at the top of their list. If you uncovered some of the things that I did you would be quite angered. Of course, every administration has their flawes, but Bush's is at the top of the list.

I am not applauding the current president by no means, he is spending our country into a hole. But at least he is spending it on our country instead of shipping it overseas. Like you, I would love to see our government create strict standards and impose high penalties on companies that move their operations to China. I would like to see companies rewarded for keeping jobs here in the U.S. This is still an unfulfilled promise that Obama made before he was elected.

i agree jobs should be kept in the USA, we need them to be here for the sake of the ecomomy, our families, and the future of our children, there is nothing more heart breaking than another set of jobs being sent over seas, & i feel for the other countries too, we are all people just trying to live and support our families, but lets face it, it really irks me when i call the phone company for help with an internet problem, & the customer service rep and myself can't even understand one another b/c of the language barrier..thats horrible, & we all know the services we have arent cheap! i just want to be able to understand who im talking to, & seems like all they have been taught is a script..so if they dont know what you said, they just repeat the script over and over again.

I love how the Republicans can find a way to blame every problem that existed during their reign of terror on the Democratic party.

No wonder personal responsibility doesn't exist in our country anymore.

It's kind of funny how every Republican who posts a message here can't spell or use proper grammar. This is strongly indicative of the demographic which makes up the Republican base. Uneducated and ill informed individuals who believe everything they see on Fox News. You cannot ignore the facts. Republicans (the smart ones anyway) are only out for one thing, money. They take and spend until there is nothing left. And then the Democrats spend a decade or two cleaning up the mess.

Then the cycle starts all over again. Not saying democrats are angels or anything. Lord knows they've made lots of mistakes, but Republicans are way too damn pig headed when it comes to admitting their flaws.

Well, Obama is more of a talker than a doer but at least he can properly pronounce the word "nuclear" and put a sentence together grammatically and coherently. I voted for Hillary first and I still think she would have been a much better president than Obama but the party screwed her and threw her under the bus. I agree with Whats Happening. Republicans are very stupid and naive. Exit polls support that. Their base is slowly diminishing to nothing but a bunch of backwoods redneck white trash Bible-thumping hicks and bigots. Before long they're only going to be able to win elections in the South, aka the Old Confederacy = slave states. Bush was so incompetent as a president and only won the election because the Republicans played the fear card in 2004 and won because of the God guns and gay issues. That's the only way they know how to win. You see that nowadays. They have NOTHING to offer but tactics and criticism. They have no alternative to health care reform except labeling it "socialized medicine" and "death panels" and other nonsense. And to further their ignorance, look at who they want for President? A woman who bailed on her job as Governor of Alaska because the mean "liberal media elite" was attacking her and her poor little family and who was too stupid to know what the Bush Doctrine is and who thinks that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,000 years ago and who couldn't even name a single U.S. Supreme Court case that she disagreed with. My sister in second grade is more qualified than Sarah Palin to be President. The right-wing nut jobs in the party only like her because she throws them red meat and she's all godly and folksy aka fake. I mean, McCain only picked her because she's a woman and he wanted to get the angry Hillary voters. Sorry Johnny Boy, but Sarah Palin is NO Hillary Clinton. Hillary has spent her entire life working to bring about change in this country. It was an affirmative action selection and here I thought the Republicunts were anti-affirmative action (cue Michael Steele as leader of the RNC. Gee, I wonder why they selected him immediately after Obama's election). I do hope she runs in 2012 because it will be a landslide reelection for Obama and Democrats will expand their majorities in Congress.

Republicans need to stop with their trash talk and spreading myths and lies and actually try to offer alternative solutions if they wish to remain a viable national party, otherwise it's only going to be a matter of time before they become so marginalized from society that they become known as the party of white Southern conservatives and a third party becomes more viable in federal elections.

The Dem should be happy that reps care about money. Without their money the dem couldnt buy 40's and sleep till 2pm. Most reps work hard for what they have and dont feel like they should get punished for what they earned from ext high taxes. Im not saying that all Dem are that way but id say 80% are living off the system. Im not sure why the dem want free healthcare because most of them have it anyway. It comes out of my check every week. How could you Proud Liberal want Hillary as pres because she is just another Bill. Sure most Dem think he was a good pres because they could relate to him because they also smoke weed and cheat on their wifes. Bill opened FREE TRADE and ruined this country.Big business was in the US but was taxed so hard that its cheaper to have something shipped across the world than have it made in the US. Bill give them the opportunity and make it ok to leave the US. That is why our economy is in trouble. The fuel is a drop in the bucket for problems we have with the economy. If we had jobs them we could pay for higher fuel bills. Every other country pays for higher fuel than the US and there dollar is still worth more than ours. Hillary is just another Bill with a womens body.

Whats Happening- Your right about half of a sentence you said about spending. The Dem will spend a decade or two but not cleaning only throwing money everywhere and spending money we dont have. The Dem have gotton used to getting in debt over their head with credit cards and debt they didnt have the money for and use bankruptcy to start over when they figured out that it didnt work out that way. The US doesnt have a credit score and our debt with China grows every minute. We cant start over and China wont give a fresh start. This debt will cause a war between the US and China. So how does getting deeper in debt with money we dont have going to fix anything. Stim money only helps China. We get the Stim money and spend it but everything you buy with the Stim money is made in China or other countries. That helps the Global economy not the US economy. The only way to fix this problem is to tax any goods coming into US so ext high that it would cost more to ship than build in the US. The Dem are good at taxing so that should be right up their alley. The other solution is to give big business huge tax breaks or no taxes at all to bring the jobs home. If any Dem reads what I have said and could think anything different just blows my mind. Sure go ahead and argue about what I have said about the 40's and sleeping till 2pm but drive over to South side Cape where most of your supporters are and spend a day seeing what kind of people they are. When you have done that and if they didnt rob you or jump you than tell me how white trash and racist the rep are. If you go over there being white and try relating to them you will see how I feel and that they are more racist than we are. Have to go to work now but when I return cant wait to see your response. Sorry if my Uneducated and ill informed grammar isnt up to your standards but do your best and work with me please. Not here to bash anybody. Im not better than anybody and dont wont to start that argument that goes nowhere.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
