I've known Barry Beach for 7 years having done five of them with him. He has always maintained his innocence and I believe him with all my heart. He is a good man and should be heard by a court of his peers; not the "kangaroo" set-up that the state seems to have w/ the parole board. The state of Montana is 25 years behind everyone else. Does that say enough?

Have all of the girls that were mentioned as possible suspects had their hand print taken? I know the main drug addict lady did but what about the rest? specifically the indian lady (Whitehawk?) I know girls can be pretty cruel and vengeful when it comes to guys. What guy was this fight supposed to be over anyway? No man is all that.

Everyone check out the dateline post on the story. Sissy Adkinson tells the interviewer that she got a ride home from the girls that night, however, she tells the court that she walked home that night. Seems like something you wouldn't forget if you were telling the truth.

This man has obviously got some love on the outs for him, and RIGHTON for that, i'm sure hes not lacking any pen pals so just pass on that this once caged soul wishes him the most of all the luck and I'll say a special prayer for him. Never give up hope friend, as you so Perfectly put it yourself when they imposed THIER sentence on YOU, that just gave you a hundered years to prove your innocence, its a travisty that its YOU that has to do that when it's suppose to be the other way around,... beyond any reasonalble doubt.sad. Keep lookin up, NEVER EVER GIVE UP.

You would think that after all the lacking evidence (including a bloody palm print that doesn't match- meaning it belongs to someone ELSE!), that at the very least the board would have voted in favor of parole. Unbelievable! And very scary.

John Grisham has written a true-crime book called "The Innocent Man"...I just happen to be reading it right now. It deals in depth with false confessions involving 2 cases and 4 men. If there is any way to contact someone, whether Barry Beach himself, or others connected with his case, it would be prudent to bring these cases up as examples of how police officials can extract a false confession. |

Definitely something is wrong with Montana's 'system of justice'. So incredible something good didn't come out of the board he sat before.
I have just dropped Marc Racicot (pronounced Rosko)into Google ... came up with a lot of reading. My history is solid in Montana and at the moment, I am rather ashamed to say my family has deep roots there. |

I saw dateline last night about Barry Beach. I live within 100 miles of Poplar from 1983-2004. I never heard of this case before. It appears to me that Barry shouldn't be in jail. If I had onw question, it would be "I snow the small towns as Poplar is gossip runs rampant. How is it that the secret is still withheld?" That would be my only concern as to Barrys guilt. These small towns are all about gossip. Someone needs to come forward and do the right thing. Sissy better hope she was not involved as covering up with her words of heaven may keep her from entering.

I was just so upset watching just how easy this could happen to someone, the fact that he has served this much time, was given 100 years, I mean come on! I would love to do something to help, just don't know how. I believe there is a lot of people who would help if that knew what to do. I am just so horrified over all this. It really touched my heart and all I can think is could you imagion that being you, how could you get help, its like everything is against him. I feel that something has to be behind all this for them to not even concider parole. I think it should be really looked into. I just wish I could help!

1 It is a travesty of justice that he is not a free man. |

I think the prosecuting attorney, who is now governor, had a big influence on the Board's decision. He's got a lot to lose if his "guilty" verdict is overturned. His body language says sooooo much.
