These are some of the best sandwiches and pizza in the San Antonio area. Even though I like them a lot I have two co-workers, one from Chicago and the other from Boston, who've also eaten there and give this place high marks. The one from Chicago said it's the best pizza she's had since she left Chicago. And the one from Boston said the "grinder" sandwiches are as good as any from Beantown. A "grinder" is a baked, not toated, sandwich. I especially like the sandwiches made with ribeye steak and my favorite pizza is the Italian sausage (the sausage is so good). I think their secret is that they make the bread and pizza crust from scratch everyday. And the price is reasonable, about $6.00 for a 9-inch long "half" sandwich.
Go early because they tend to get crowded at lunch and on weekend nights. You won't be disappointed.

hello, i have been to bellacino's about 2 months ago. i tell you i am so well pleased with the food, service. i am so happy bellacino's do not cook with MSG. i talked to the woner and she is just so gracious. the grinder was wonderful, pizza was yummy and crisp, ice ream is just to die for. i plan to go come back to your place very soon. i want to know how to enter the restaurant area because my friend and i were in the creamery and did not get enter the pizzeria.

For fast food italian it was better than what is here now. Enjoyed the food, decor, and price. We could still use an non-chain Italian owned italian restaurant in the area. After eating in Little Italy in Chicago several times, it's hard to beat. As far as area Pizza, Catalano's in Cibolo is a winner. I was there several months before I realized the owner was not Italian, because the food certainly is.
