He was not a Criminal Defense Attorney. He worked in Real Estate. Any loss to a man with 4 daughters is tragic no matter what happened.

There seems to be little information given to the press because the police are still investigating the crime. It will not be solved in 30 minutes.

Big deal, he wasn't a criminal attoryne, he was a real estate attorney, so get your facts straight. And as far as the why he was shot, we don't know yet, the detectives are investigating, give them a chance to do their job and have some compassion, he was a real person, with a family.

Was he involved with that sweetheart rael estate deal that Obama's buddy Rezko appears to have cooked up for Barack and Michelle?

I guess I am naive, I never realized what a really sick world with so many sick people we really have, but after reading your comments and so many others I see how true it is. You have no heart and you probably never lost anyone really close to you, because I promise you when that does happen, your mouth will be shut and tears will fall from your eyes. That's what's happening here. 100's of people came to see my brother today, he was a good man a hard worker just trying to provide for his wife and children. I have nothing more to say to you, except, find Jesus.

You're a gutless moron your hatred of Obama has absolutely nothing to do with this man's tragic death. Vote for McCain and shut your stupid mouth..

You will find the answer to these mystery homicides in one of three reasons, either singularly or in a combination of money, sex and drugs. Mr. DiMartino at first glance looks to be the ideal family man who was a tireless worker. That would probably leave out the sex and drugs angle. Interested to find out what this lucrative deal was about, a possible money angle. He was definitely set up by someone who felt slighted, hope the answers to this don't hit close to home.

This is the most idiotic and ignorant posting I have ever seen. Think next time before you post such a hurtful comment. How do you think his family feels after reading your comments??

Jim was a r/e attorney, one that I personally used two times. He was such a nice guy, and probably the hardest worker I have ever seen. He had a great personality, sense of humor, and was just a real down-to-earth person. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

James was a great friend and I know a great father, husband and brother.I grew up with James. We played curb ball, hide and seek, baseball, stickball and all the game kids do growing up.He was good natured then and those traits generally don't change. When 100 plus people attend to show their support there going because they care about a person who cared about them.Negative comments and hurtful and those posting them are ignorant. My prayers are with the entire Dimartino family. They will find who's responsible and they will get what they deserve.

Very sorry to hear about your brother. If it is the same Jim DiMartino I went to Pines Elementary with even sadder. He was a great guy then and through Hauppauge High. He will be in my prayers and your family as well.
