Wal-Mart on Hospital Rd

A Wal-Mart in Patchogue is a GOOD thing. It is perfect for the type of people in the surrounding area. Keep it away from Bellport.

If you really believe Walmart is a good thing for ANYONE watch this documentary. And if you still think Walmart is okay, or if you can even stomach looking at one ever again, then thats your right. BUT you should at least be informed. Ignorance is bliss though.

I wish they would could come out to East Moriches where ther is plenty of land.We have nothing but food stores. There are alot of people out here who always said we have nothing here we always have to travel either out east or west. This is my one wish one day

Are you kidding? Riverhead is about 15-20 minutes away?

Count your blessings, once a big chain store opens up in your area others will follow......and then you'll have a fricken city-like atmosphere.

Most people are against the chosen location on Hospital Rd. more than another Walmart in the area. Especially when there is an abandoned outlet mall just one exit away.

Yes---The name of the person or actully persons leading the movement against Wal mart on hospital road would be any body named or called RESIDENT with a zip code of 11772 ..I hope this was helpful

I just looked it up on the web, there is no one named RESIDENT living in zip code 11772. Therefore, no one is against Wal-Mart in that area.

Yes, there are many residents in East Patchogue, zip 11772, that are against Wal-Mart...... Patchogue Village and Bellport Village Civic Associations are against this proyect.

This project requires a parking variance which would is a perverse twisting of our current zoning laws for a J4 and J2 parcels. Wal-Mart also wishes to remove the sidewalks from the Hospital Rd bridge. They have submitted a terrible DEIS plan ( which can be viewed on the town website) and bus seniors from La Bonne Vi to support the project giving them a roast beef sandwich, and blue tote bag.
We as a community (residents, business owners, students, and staff of local businesses) deserve better. The DEIS should not be a joke, Wal-Mart is obligated to provide a comprehensive study with real stats and not the fluff they wrote! SHAME ON THEM!

So they put up a Walmart..... There's nothing on hospital rd anyway. Now we don't have to go all the way to setauket to get cheap shizzit
