Thats the problem. Charged with only DWI and resist. How about reckless endangement. What if a kid was swimming there. How about underage drinking!! This is such bull.

I peed on my bare feet once while intoxicated in the middle of a busy intersection but through 60 years I never matched this one.

I think Reckless Endangerment would be a good charge in there was in fact swimmers or others right there. There must be a risk of serious injury for the misdemeanor or grave risk of death for the felony. There was probably nobody exposed to such risks at the time, but in Suffolk there is no plea bargaining if there's an accident like this one. The 20 yr old is screwed. |

1 Nice job Snewsday. You've recklessly printed a falsity alleging that a Suffolk Police Sgt. was charged with DWI, holding him up to public ridicule, scorn and loss of his good name in his professional and personal life. Can you say Libel per se? |

Another genius off the road...for about a week, or until they scrape the barnacles out of the crank case.

Take this 20 year old kid put him in JAIL for the rest of the Summer, pulldown his pants and spank the crap out of him, then take the his Keys and Drivers Licence away for 5 Years,
and make him PAY a $ 10,000.00 Fine. Mabe he will get the message. |

1 He drove his car into the Great South Bay and yet he was going to direct expensive boats into slips. That would have been fun to watch. |

The law is very interesting. Just because he was lucky enough to not have hit anyone, he's out of jail in a minute. I even detect a bit of dark humor in the comments here - and I admit, it does have a bit of absurd amusement to it - pretty sick, huh?

Hopefully someday Mr Thornton will find his way into the local church basements. We'll be waiting for him to assist him in any way we can to accept that he is an alcoholic and there is help if he wants it.

How many are arrested for driving without a license? Taking away the license doesn't do a thing. I believe you think these are law abiding individuals who will start taking the bus which practically does'nt exist. |
|
Well it's like this You see him drive report it! people don't have the BALL'S to do it. Or Lock him up for 5 Years or more. For First offence. |
